Many additional staff and technical experts are present at our facilities to support this transformation and to perform any needed troubleshooting.

“The Alaska VA Healthcare System went live – as scheduled – at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, with the new Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system,” said Jennifer Price, Acting Director of the Alaska Healthcare System.

“This total success represents the culmination of months of training and diligent effort. The VA staff have gone above and beyond by continuing to do their normal daily jobs while simultaneously learning to operate the new system. This flawless ex*****on is a testament to their hard work and dedication to providing quality medical care to our Alaska Veterans,” said Price.

Price added, “To further celebrate our Go-Live day, later this afternoon we will be livestreaming a drawing to win a beautiful wooden cutting board. So, stay tuned!”
