Our first time making birch bark tincture and wow!! It’s beautiful!
We’ve been researching herbal remedies for gout, and birch bark shows up across almost every piece of literature!
Both the bark and sap can be used in just about every preparation possible: tinctures, salves, teas, poultices…you name it!
It is considered a blood-purifier (supports the body’s natural detox pathways) and has diuretic properties that promote an increased production of urine, which means it helps to flush the kidneys and rid the body of excess uric acid - the cause of kidney stones and gout!
It has also traditionally been used to calm an upset stomach, improve skin health, and relieve other rheumatoid-related symptoms.
We’ve got a few people testing some gout-remedies for us right now and we are excited to hear back!
In the mean time, though…this tincture is mesmerizing to look at 😂
