Don’t judge a book by its cover, and don’t assume you understand someone’s life simply because you can’t physically see what they’re going through.
Invisible disabilities are still disabilities. Medical battles don’t always come with an outward appearance. You don’t see the appointments, procedures, medications, sleepless nights, fear, exhaustion, or the countless ways a family has had to rearrange their entire life just to keep their child safe and thriving.
Comments like “He doesn’t look disabled” may seem harmless, but after everything a family has endured, they can cut deeper than you realize.

Choose kindness. Ask questions with compassion instead of making assumptions.
