Thinking ahead for the summer ☀️
What a fun way to get some goodness of these little ones. I was planning on juicing a few things, but I didn’t end up having time.

Laylend we’re doing fine just eating the ice until she gave him a sip and then he wanted nothing else

I was just gonna do yellow/electrolyte. But she wanted multiple colors, so here we go!

I post a lot about each of these on my stories, but both of them are powerhouse drinks:
Electrolytes energy: not many electrolyte drinks contain quercetin , D ribose, and taurine. These ingredients add the additional support of reducing mast cell reactivity, stabilizing the nervous system, increasing cellular energy

Pro Greens: so many amazing ingredients! Depending on the season, I am thankful for something different. In spring I am thankful for Japanese not w**d for helping protect the body from Lyme disease. Lyme is an opportunistic infection.

Not only was this so much fun, but what a precious moment… I told her, “ I bought this for dada when he was little because he loved ICEE’s and I didn’t want him to have sugar”
She said, “ well he can have sugar at home now, mama lets him”😀

I think of Mariah and how much time my grandma spent with her in the kitchen and now her joy of making homemade goodness

I think of McCoy and really he is what prompted me to find healthy replacements for things he liked😂. He ultimately was my reason for discovering… “ you CAN have this! Just use good ingredients”

These are the best days! Watching my kids, have kids… being in their gamma

In-person appointment day with Calyssa 🤍

I was chatting with Tom about being excited about her coming in this week, and he said something that really stuck with me:

“What an honor to have someone that used to work with you come see you when they have a need. That says a lot about you and your business. She knows what goes on behind the scenes… so when something comes up, she knows you’re the best.”

And honestly… that meant a lot.

Calyssa Oliverius I feel so honored that you continue to trust me when something comes up. What stood out even more is how intentional you’ve been with your health journey—you noticed some symptoms, something that was just a bit off, you didn’t ignore them, asked the right questions, followed through with testing, and let the results guide the next steps.

Instead of masking symptoms, we’re building a plan that actually supports your body in making real, lasting change. Not quick fixes… but deeper root-cause work that helps things shift long term.

When she came to the appointment, she said “ I don’t even really care what’s wrong. I’ve just been so looking forward to our appointment!” I seriously felt….Business goal ✅!!!! I personally don’t like appointments, of any sort. I set up my practice so people would look forward to their appointment.

Let’s talk about telomeres and aging!

Biological aging and cellular aging

Biological aging is years going by.
Cellular aging has to do with our cells aging and it is not solely based on biological aging.

Think of two people the same age. Maybe 50 years old. One of them you might be thinking how is that person 50? They look so young and vibrant and full of life, maybe even doing better than someone in their 30s or 40s. Then think of another person: how is that person 50? They’re aging so rapidly. They look act like their 70 (although that’s what our society seems to have gotten used to, so it’s not as noticeable)

A key difference is their telomeres. Telomeres are caps on the end of our mitochondria strand that protects them. Similar to a cap on the end of our shoe lace or strand on a hoodie. The length and strength of that cap protects the strand from fraying. That’s what telomeres do for our mitochondria strand.

As we age, and expose ourselves to toxins and inflammatory things, our telomeres weaken and shorten.

There are things you can do to lengthen and strengthen your telomere: anti-inflammatory foods, omega’s, fiber, polyphenols, phytonutrients, leafy greens, plant-based foods. Avoiding inflammatory foods. Avoiding fad diets.

And if you wanna know what you’re doing is working… There’s ways to test the length of your telomeres 🙌

A few weeks ago I had an appointment with a 20 year old girl. She told her mom that she wanted to “feel better”, she had some goals and didn’t want to go to a Dr because she’s done that, followed the very few things they suggested … and saw no results. Her mom directed her to me (thank you!).

As with every appointment … We went over food (intake and suggestions), routines, exercise, bowel movements, stress management, mood, energy, goals and symptoms.

I made several suggestions, she followed them, she saw results!! (in just a few short weeks I might add).

As I was checking in on her progress, I reminded her that healing often occurs in layers … she may need to address residual inflammation, addressing nutritional deficiencies and HEALING the gut (collagen, glutamine, bone broth, omega’s).

I am SO proud of this young woman! She recognized what wasn’t working, found something that does. Think of the life changing rewards and benefits ahead for her!!! For her future as a someday mom and wife. Bringing “health” into her home. She’s doing it!!

Hi Rachel!
Thank you so much for checking in. That was so sweet of you! I’ve definitely made some changes and I am just feeling way more energetic and much more like myself! I’ve taken meal prepping more seriously and have been trying to add a lot more raw vegetables to my meals or at least having one big container full of vegetables that I can snack on throughout the day. I’ve been trying to have salt water with lemon juice consistently in the morning, along with smoothies a few hours after that, but some days are definitely better than others.
I’ve been doing my best to get to bed at an earlier hour, which has also been very helpful with my energy levels and overall mood, and I’ve been drinking as much water as I can! I started taking the vitamins that you recommended this week and have just noticed a difference in mood and energy as well!

Today is Wednesday. So far this week I’ve already talked to two people about PMS. Do you have PMS? Of course you probably know it’s in large part from a rapid decrease in estrogen, but do you know how to stabilize estrogen throughout the month?
(diet: high fiber/soluble fiber/cruciferous vegetables, seed cycling. low caffeine. stress management. exercise habits: both aerobic and anaerobic. Supplements: Calcium (1200 mg/day) and Vitamin B6, combined with magnesium, have shown effectiveness in reducing PMS my managing luteal phase)

Did you also know having stable serotonin throughout the month will help you feel better throughout the month and during PMS?!!! Serotonin levels drop in the days leading up to a menstrual period as estrogen decreases, triggering common PMS symptoms like irritability, depression, fatigue, and food cravings. Low serotonin affects mood regulation. Some women experience higher serotonin transporter activity, causing a significant loss of serotonin

Some things to raise serotonin naturally… Gu health. Over 90% of serotonin receptors are in the gut. 20 to 30 minutes of sunshine, preferably in the morning. High tryptophan foods, exercise.

Main take away: having balanced hormones throughout the month significantly helps PMS!!!
One more take away that I didn’t even mention yet… Black cohash! I mainly use it for menopause symptoms, but it helps with PMS as well

This book — well, even just the cover — reminds me of something so personal.

God can truly change your heart.

I used to hate pine trees. 🌲
At one of our homes, we had several in the backyard. I wanted them gone. We even got a quote to remove them. My husband said no.

So instead… I prayed.

Not for the trees to go away.
But for God to change my heart.
My preference.
My desire.

I remember thinking, If I have to look at these trees every single day, I at least want to like them.

And He did it.

Now? Pine trees — jack pine, spruce, evergreens — are some of my favorites. I notice their strength. Their steadiness. The way they stay green when everything else looks bare.

It sounds trivial. And maybe it is.

But at the time, it wasn’t.

Because what we “look at” every day shapes us.

And this principle goes far beyond trees.

What if your marriage isn’t what you hoped for — and you have to “look at it” every day?
What if you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see?
What if your situation feels permanent?

We often pray, “God, change this.”
But sometimes He lovingly says,
“Let Me change you.”

And when He changes your heart, everything looks different — even if nothing else changes.

That’s the miracle.

He doesn’t just move mountains.
Sometimes He reshapes vision.
Softens resistance.
Rewrites desire.

And that kind of transformation?
It can change everything. ❤️
