Baby #3 for Mariah. 🤍

One thing I teach my clients about healing—whether postpartum, after surgery, a broken bone, or an illness—is to ask:
“What direction is healing going?”

There’s often a “peak” day when inflammation and discomfort are highest. With surgery, this is typically around day 3. It can be the worst day as the body responds to the injury.

Postpartum, around day 3, afterbirth cramping typically starts to lessen.

What matters most is what happens AFTER that expected peak.

➡️ We want the overall trend moving toward better—not worse.

If things start getting worse, that can be a sign something isn’t right. Sometimes it’s an infection.

In Mariah’s case, it turned out her entire placenta had not been delivered.

At first, she thought the discomfort might simply be because she’s in her 30s now vs. her 20s with her other two babies.

But after a few days, she noticed more cramping and vaginal pain (she didn’t have stitches), and her bleeding was starting to return.

I told her: “That’s an unexpected direction for healing.”
At that point, it was either:
1) She had been too active and wasn’t allowing enough time to heal (but I was there with her, and she was doing really well following the rest/healing plan), or
2) Something was off course in her healing process.

A couple days later, she sent me the picture.

Her midwife had told her to watch for infection.

She called me because she didn’t want to “wait for an infection.” I encouraged her to take steps ahead of time to address pathogenic organisms—such as a couple drops of Rachael’s Remedy in water or oil of oregano.
I also suggested she rest for a couple days and, if she still had cramping after 3 days, call and request an ultrasound to make sure all of the placenta was out.

By day 3, her healing took a turn for the better! 🙌🏼 Back on track.

✨ Takeaway: Pay attention to the direction of healing.
Healing doesn’t always feel good. But after the expected peak, we want the overall trend moving toward better—not worse.

This is one of the things I help my clients learn: how to recognize what’s expected, listen to their body, and know when it’s time to look a lil deeper. 🤍

What an amazing appointment! ❤️

It was scheduled as a “partial check-in” on labs. Turns out… she’s pregnant!!! She wanted to share the news, get some input on next steps, and still go over her partial labs.

Her circumstances may be the most complex I’ve seen so far. It took longer to conceive than I normally see with the people I work with… but she did it!!!!! 🎉

Our first appointment was 2 years ago. She hadn’t even had a period for 4 years prior. She had been married for over a decade and was trying to conceive.

I convinced her to initially switch her thinking from “trying to get pregnant” to “figuring out what her body needs.”

Why isn’t she getting pregnant?
Get her cycle back.
REBUILD HEALTH.

She did all the right things… she did the testing, she made the changes, she checked in on things in between, continued to tweak things…

Annnnnnd she got pregnant!!!! 🥹❤️

What a blessing of a first appointment to come back to (I haven’t worked most of August!). What an honor to be part of her tears of joy as we praised the Lord together.

It really is a miracle baby. A gift from God. 🙏

I thought she still had a ways to go. God had different plans.

And honestly, this is why I love what I do. Sometimes the goal isn’t to chase the symptom or obsess over one lab result. Sometimes it’s about stepping back, figuring out what the body needs, rebuilding health, and giving the body the support it needs to do what it was designed to do.

If you’ve been working toward a health goal and feel like you’ve tried everything, maybe it’s time to stop chasing the goal and start asking “What does my body need?”

That’s exactly where we can start. ❤️

The scale could be the LAST place you see healing

Before you scroll...if you’re only measuring success by the number on the scale, you could be missing some of your body’s biggest victories.

I recently met with a client whose progress is the perfect example.

✨ Daily pain? ZERO.
✨ Every morning nausea? Gone.
✨ Energy? Way up.
✨ Exposed to viruses...didn’t get sick.

Has the scale moved as much as she’d hoped? Not yet.

But her body is healing.

One reason? Metabolic syndrome (insulin resistance) isn’t just about extra weight. This metabolically active fat that, an extra organ that shouldn’t be there. It wraps around organs like the liver, pancreas, and intestines, creating inflammation and making your body work against you. Like any organ, it doesn’t disappear overnight and has an “instinct to survive” (it’s working against your efforts)

The exciting part? It CAN be reversed.

And here’s what I’ve seen over and over: people often feel better before they look different.

Years ago, another client was frustrated that the scale wasn’t changing faster. Yet her massage therapist commented she could literally feel layers of unhealthy tissue disappearing before the scale reflected it.

Healing takes persistence. It took years for metabolic syndrome to develop, so it takes time to undo. But when your body starts healing, you may notice less pain, more energy, better sleep, fewer cravings, improved immunity, and clearer thinking long before dramatic weight loss.

Don’t let the scale convince you that nothing is happening.

If you’re struggling with stubborn weight, fatigue, insulin resistance, or just don’t feel like yourself, I’d love to help you uncover the root cause and create a personalized plan.

I’m also working on a guide for insulin resistance because this journey requires more persistence than most people realize—but it’s absolutely worth it. I’ll also be sharing a deeper explanation of metabolic syndrome in an upcoming post/blog.

Don’t give up. Your body wants to heal...sometimes it’s making more progress than you realize. ❤️

When it comes to fertility, my approach may surprise some people...

1st, quit trying.

Sometimes the biggest shift happens when we stop focusing only on conception & start focusing on preparing the body.

Step 1: gather information.
What does your body need?
Are there deficiencies? imbalances? things creating a burden on the body?

Step 2: create a healthy environment for baby to grow.

Because the body is AMAZING when it is given what it needs.

I see this all the time… someone is missing something their body needs, or they have something creating stress or burden. We identify it, support the body, remove obstacles, & watch what happens. The body often knows exactly what to do when given the right environment.

This is especially true with fertility.

Recently, I received exciting news… one of my patients is pregnant!!! 🎉❤️ I am SO happy for her & her family.

They had been trying for over a year. After testing, she discovered a few health areas that needed attention. Nothing overwhelming, but important to address.

She decided to pause trying to conceive & focus on her health first.

That’s where my approach came in: we focused on supporting her body, addressing what we found, & creating a healthier foundation for fertility.

They tried for over a year, then came to me. A few simple changes… just a couple of cycles later, she was pregnant. 🥹 (For her specifically, I truly believe it was a combination of using liquids for better absorption & selenium.)

I absolutely love this part of my job.

But what I love most isn’t just the pregnancy announcement. It’s being invited into the moments before & after…

Helping someone come up with a creative way to share the news with their husband or family.
Receiving the video before anyone else knows.
Sharing in the tears of joy.
Seeing the picture of the baby they prayed for.
Helping a mom work through the fear of miscarriage after experiencing loss.

These are incredibly intimate, sacred moments. I feel truly blessed that people trust me to be part of them.

Thank u for choosing me to walk alongside you through these chapters of life. ❤️

Does coffee actually give you energy... or is it borrowing tomorrow’s energy for today? ☕

I know... that’s not a popular question. 😅

For YEARS, I was a coffee addict. I loved it. Then after drinking it daily for two weeks on a trip to Alaska, I was reminded just how differently my body feels without it.

Here’s what I’ve learned over the years—both personally and from working with hundreds of clients:

☕ Coffee may increase focus temporarily... but often at the expense of borrowed energy.

😴 It impacts sleep quality, even if you fall asleep just fine.

⚡ It stimulates your stress response (adrenals), rather than creating true, lasting energy.

🦠 It affects digestion and the gut microbiome.

💧 It’s a diuretic, making hydration and mineral balance even more difficult.

🧠 It influences mood, hormones, anxiety, and that “wired but tired” feeling.

The biggest thing I’ve noticed?

People don’t realize how good they’re capable of feeling... until they actually feel better.

Many people have simply accepted afternoon fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, or feeling “off” as normal because they’ve experienced it for so long.

In my newest blog, I dive into the risk vs. reward of coffee, why I believe there’s a difference between borrowed energy and true energy, and why asking “What is this costing my body?” can be just as important as asking “What benefits does it provide?”

Whether you drink coffee every day or only occasionally, I hope this gives you a different perspective.

☀️ Sun exposure isn’t the enemy—sunburn is

Believe it or not, I didn’t put sunscreen on my kids growing up. One is fair-skinned, and the other has darker features. That doesn’t mean we ignored sun safety—it means we focused on supporting the body naturally and respecting our limits.

Healthy sun exposure offers important benefits, including:

✨ Vitamin D production
✨ Immune support
✨ Better mood and sleep through healthy circadian rhythms
✨ Nitric oxide release, which supports heart health

The goal isn’t to avoid the sun completely—it’s to avoid burning.

Here are a few ways to support your skin naturally:

🧢 Wear hats and lightweight clothing

🌳 Take shade breaks, especially during peak midday hours

💧 Stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes

🥗 Eat antioxidant-rich foods like berries, salmon, and leafy greens to help support your skin from the inside out

🥥 Coconut oil can provide moisture and a light protective barrier, but it offers minimal sun protection and should not be relied on to prevent sunburn.

If you choose sunscreen, opt for a mineral formula with non-nano zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. These ingredients sit on top of the skin rather than being absorbed like some chemical sunscreen ingredients. Zinc oxide provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection.

Keep in mind: non-nano zinc formulas may leave a slight white cast—that’s the protective barrier at work.

☀️ Already got too much sun?

🌱 Apply aloe vera to soothe and cool the skin.

💧 Increase your water and electrolyte intake—sunburn draws fluid to the skin and can contribute to dehydration.

💜 Lavender essential oil is always in our travel bag. After Tom recently got a burn from the grill, we looked into why it helps. Compounds in lavender, including linalool and linalyl acetate, have been studied for their ability to calm inflammation, reduce oxidative stress, support tissue repair, and promote wound healing.

Respect the sun. Nourish your body. Protect your skin. ☀️

Guess what!!
Meadoh is going to be at a farmers market this summer. She’s super excited.

Last summer she asked Mariah if she could sell her healthy treat. She wanted to go to the park and set up a table. We’re not even sure that’s legal 🤪. She brought it around to neighbors. She told Mariah “kids will love it, moms will say you can’t have it because you can’t have sugar”, she’ll tell them that “there isn’t sugar in it it’s only good healthy ingredients that are put together that taste good!” Moms will be happy and kids will be happy.

So of course, Mariah needed to support her entrepreneurial efforts!

I sure hope you stop out and see us.

We had the opportunity to join Courtney from Real Vitality on her podcast recently, and I’m so grateful for the invitation and the conversation we were able to have together.

In this episode, my husband Tom and I share some of our journey from traditional careers into entrepreneurship, along with practical lessons we’ve learned about building businesses, creating multiple income streams, and making decisions that align with our faith and values.

We talk about more than just business. We discuss taking ownership of your health, finances, and future rather than operating from fear or dependency on systems that may not always have your best interests in mind. We share real-life experiences, challenges we’ve faced, lessons we’ve learned, and how our biblical worldview influences the way we approach entrepreneurship, marriage, finances, and personal growth.

Much of what we discuss reflects the heart behind All In All Ministries—helping people find practical, faith-based solutions for physical, mental, financial, and relational wellness by combining biblical principles with real-world experience.

For those who listen to the full episode, you’ll also hear us discuss some unique financial and tax strategies that many people may not be aware of, along with how thoughtful financial planning can support greater freedom and wellness.

A huge thank you to Courtney and the Real Vitality team for creating a space for meaningful conversations and for allowing us to share our story. We truly enjoyed our time together.

If you’re interested in entrepreneurship, health freedom, biblical decision-making, financial stewardship, marriage, or simply hearing the story of how God has guided our journey, I encourage you to listen to the full episode. We’d love to hear your biggest takeaway after you listen! ❤️

Thinking ahead for the summer ☀️
What a fun way to get some goodness of these little ones. I was planning on juicing a few things, but I didn’t end up having time.

Laylend we’re doing fine just eating the ice until she gave him a sip and then he wanted nothing else

I was just gonna do yellow/electrolyte. But she wanted multiple colors, so here we go!

I post a lot about each of these on my stories, but both of them are powerhouse drinks:
Electrolytes energy: not many electrolyte drinks contain quercetin , D ribose, and taurine. These ingredients add the additional support of reducing mast cell reactivity, stabilizing the nervous system, increasing cellular energy

Pro Greens: so many amazing ingredients! Depending on the season, I am thankful for something different. In spring I am thankful for Japanese not w**d for helping protect the body from Lyme disease. Lyme is an opportunistic infection.

Not only was this so much fun, but what a precious moment… I told her, “ I bought this for dada when he was little because he loved ICEE’s and I didn’t want him to have sugar”
She said, “ well he can have sugar at home now, mama lets him”😀

I think of Mariah and how much time my grandma spent with her in the kitchen and now her joy of making homemade goodness

I think of McCoy and really he is what prompted me to find healthy replacements for things he liked😂. He ultimately was my reason for discovering… “ you CAN have this! Just use good ingredients”

These are the best days! Watching my kids, have kids… being in their gamma

In-person appointment day with Calyssa 🤍

I was chatting with Tom about being excited about her coming in this week, and he said something that really stuck with me:

“What an honor to have someone that used to work with you come see you when they have a need. That says a lot about you and your business. She knows what goes on behind the scenes… so when something comes up, she knows you’re the best.”

And honestly… that meant a lot.

Calyssa Oliverius I feel so honored that you continue to trust me when something comes up. What stood out even more is how intentional you’ve been with your health journey—you noticed some symptoms, something that was just a bit off, you didn’t ignore them, asked the right questions, followed through with testing, and let the results guide the next steps.

Instead of masking symptoms, we’re building a plan that actually supports your body in making real, lasting change. Not quick fixes… but deeper root-cause work that helps things shift long term.

When she came to the appointment, she said “ I don’t even really care what’s wrong. I’ve just been so looking forward to our appointment!” I seriously felt….Business goal ✅!!!! I personally don’t like appointments, of any sort. I set up my practice so people would look forward to their appointment.

So grateful to walk this with you 🤍
