This week we recognize MRI Safety Week—a time to raise awareness about the importance of safety before, during, and after every MRI exam.

While MRI does not use ionizing radiation, it does use an extremely powerful magnetic field. That's why it's essential to tell your imaging team about any implanted medical devices, metal fragments, or other concerns before your scan. Even everyday items like jewelry, keys, hearing aids, and credit cards should never enter the MRI room.

Go Houston Texans!!!

To celebrate breaking our Alliance MRI Lake Jackson MRI volume record in October, the team had a great day at the Houston Texans game against the Las Vegas Raiders! We did 349 MRIs to break our previous record of 324 from October 2024!! It was a total team effort!

Our Houston CIS centers are spreading joy this holiday season by collecting toys - and to kick things off, we had a Toy Drive Box Decorating Contest! We had 14 incredibly creative, festive, and fun entries, and we loved seeing everyone’s holiday spirit shine!

CIS Participates in U of H PES Golf Tournament

On Monday, October 7th, CIS proudly attended and sponsored a promotional table at the University of Houston PES Golf Tournament. The event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with many members of the community—including past and future patients—and to engage with students interested in applying for our internship program.

Representing CIS at the promo table were Nicole LeNorman, Kayla Hebert, and Morgan Mims, who enjoyed sharing information about our services and career opportunities.

In addition to our table presence, CIS was also represented on the course by a team consisting of Ben Casmer, Jeff Fields, Aaron Matlack, and Greg Pyron.

The tournament was a great success, offering valuable networking, community engagement, and a fun day supporting the PES program and its students. CIS was honored to take part and looks forward to participating again in future events
