Mental Illness Awareness Week and World Mental Health Day are reminders that mental health care depends on people working together.

Reducing stigma, improving access, and supporting continuity of care all require providers, families, support staff, and community partners to stay connected around the individuals they serve.

A pharmacist’s job does not end when the prescription is filled.

At Altruix, pharmacists do much more than dispense medications. They help individuals access hard-to-find therapies, answer provider questions, work through insurance barriers, and coordinate with care teams when something needs attention.

September is Recovery Month, a time to recognize the millions of individuals working toward recovery and the providers, families, and communities supporting them along the way.

Recovery does not follow one path. For some, it includes medication-assisted treatment. For others, it may include counseling, peer support, community programs, or a combination of services built around their needs.

For Altruix, supporting recovery means working alongside substance use disorder providers to help medication access stay connected to the larger treatment plan.

This month, we celebrate progress in every form and the people helping make recovery possible.

International Overdose Awareness Day is a time to remember those we've lost, support those who are grieving, and recognize the providers helping individuals stay connected to care.

For substance use disorder providers, continuity of care matters. From medication access and refill coordination to delivery and communication with the care team, every step can help support ongoing treatment.

Altruix partners with providers by helping manage the pharmacy details that support consistent access to care.

Today, we honor the lives lost, stand with the families and communities affected by overdose, and reaffirm our commitment to compassionate, stigma-free care.
