Greetings ARC Members,

Our President, Hayley Wood, will be on military leave beginning April 20, 2026, and is expected to return in August. During her absence, our Vice President, Jennifer Watwood, will step in to serve as Acting President.

We have an exciting lineup of events planned for the summer:
Youth Runners Club practices
Cheaha Challenge Aid Station – May 17, 2026
Wednesday night trail runs with Chase Garrard (continuing all summer)
Publix Woodstock 5K practice runs (dates to be announced soon)
Memorial Run – July 25, 2026
Publix Woodstock 5K – August 1, 2026
We encourage all ARC members to support the club by volunteering and participating in these upcoming events. Your involvement helps make our community stronger and our events successful.

Scholarship Deadline Extended! Attention Calhoun County seniors: You have more time to apply for the Suzy Spiceland Michelson Memorial Scholarship. The application deadline has been officially extended to April 30th.

Eligibility Requirements:
Academic Status: Must be a graduating senior in the Calhoun County area.
Athletics: Must be a current member of your school’s Cross Country or Track & Field team.

In addition to our senior scholarship, the Anniston Runners Club is excited to offer a Track Grant for local programs!

Grant Details
Eligibility: Open to area high school or independent cross-country and track teams.

Selection: Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Award Amount: The amount granted is determined by the size of your team.

Deadline:
The application for this grant is also due by April 30th. Don’t wait—secure funding for your athletes today!
