Have you been advertising the use of 7-1-1 on your business websites or marketing collateral? Make sure to avoid this common mistake!

Adding “Just dial 711” information to your business website can cause frustration for your customers if you don’t use it correctly. Our relay operator will require your business phone number to complete the relay call, and your customers might not realize until they’ve dialed 711 trying to connect directly with you. Below is a clearer phrase to add to your business website!
Example: For Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind or those with a speech disability, please dial 711 then provide our company’s phone number, ###-###-###x, to complete the relay call.

The key here is to include YOUR business’s phone number within the message.
