Here is a fun and friendly ICD-10 reminder as you head out this weekend ๐:
๐ฆ Stay hydrated and donโt overdo it in the heat so you can avoid a heatstroke and sunstroke (T67.01XA), heat exhaustion (T67.5XXA), or dehydration (E86.0).
โ๏ธ Donโt skip on the sunscreen unless you want a first degree sunburn (L55.0) or even a second-degree sunburn (L55.1)!
๐ ๐ค To my pool people, letโs not jump or dive into the pool and strike the bottom (W16.522A) in the shallow end.
๐ ๐ญ ๐ฅฉ Firing up the grill today (Y93.G2)? Use gloves or grilling cookware to avoid grabbing those burgers and getting a contact burn (X10.1XXA),burns of the right (T23.041A) and left (T23.042A) fingers and thumb, unspecified degree! But make sure you donโt take them off the heat too early unless you want a bacterial food borne illness (A05.9).
๐ป ๐ท ๐ฅ๐น๐ธ If you are celebrating with alcohol today, remember to drink responsibly. Nobody wants alcohol abuse with intoxication (F10.129) in their chart and crowd up the emergency room. ๐ฅ
