We're excited to introduce another amazing member of our Best Opportunities Video Series!

Meet Kara Mitchell, our dedicated Apple Valley and Barstow Case Manager, who has been a valued member of the BEST Opportunities family for 4 years. Kara also supports our Supported Employment Program, helping individuals with developmental disabilities find meaningful employment and achieve greater independence.

In this video, Kara shares more about our programs, the services we provide, and how BEST Opportunities empowers individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and reach their goals.

Kara's compassion, dedication, and commitment make a lasting impact on the clients and families she serves every day, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our team.

BEST Opportunities lost one of its own this past weekend. Angelika Felix passed away on the night of June 20, 2026, after a lengthy health battle.

Angelika was a dedicated member of the BEST Opportunities family, serving our organization from 2005 until her retirement in 2021. Throughout her years of service, she played an instrumental role in the growth and success of our company. Her commitment, work ethic, and willingness to take on any challenge made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with her.

Even after her retirement, Angelika remained committed to BEST Opportunities, continuing to work on an on-call basis through 2026. Her dedication to our mission and the people we serve never wavered.

One of Angelika's favorite expressions was, "I got this," a reflection of her positive attitude, determination, and unwavering dedication. No task was too great, and no request was ever beyond her willingness to help.

Angelika's contributions to BEST Opportunities will never be forgotten, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

We respectfully ask that everyone honor and respect the family's privacy during this difficult time as they grieve their loss.

We had a great time welcoming Apple Valley High School to our facility for a tour and visit!

Students got a firsthand look at the opportunities we offer, explored our programs, and spent time connecting with our team. It was a fun and engaging day filled with learning, conversations, and hands-on experiences that highlight what’s possible beyond the classroom.

We love opening our doors to the next generation and showing what career pathways, support services, and community partnerships can look like in action. Looking forward to many more visits like this! 🌟
