How many units do I use for the face?
At age 46, I get quite a lot of units. Starting few years ago, I began to put more emphasis on softening the downward-pulling muscles on the lower face.
The lower face is one of the most underrated areas for botox treatments. As we age, the muscles in our lower face naturally begin to pull downward, which can lead to a heavier jawline and a resting frown.
By strategically placing Botox to relax these downward-pulling muscles, we can create a subtle, beautiful lift—without adding any volume.
Here is what lower face Botox can actually do:
✨ Masseters (Jawline): Slims a square jaw and helps relieve painful teeth grinding or clenching.
✨ DAO Muscles (Mouth Corners): Relaxes the muscles that pull the corners of your mouth down, instantly refreshing a “resting sad face”.
✨ Platysmal Bands (Neck/Jaw): Often called the Nefertiti Lift, this tightens the neck bands and sharply defines the jawline.
The goal of lower face Botox isn’t to “freeze” you—it’s all about creating facial harmony, balance, and a natural, rested look.
