As we celebrate our one-year anniversary this week, we wanted to share a little more about our journey and how serving turned into a calling. 🤍

About a year ago, Gabrielle Reineck began volunteering at Eirene Ranch as a session host for our Tuesday evening elementary students. At the same time, she was walking through her own grief following the sudden death of her husband.
Over that first year, something began to change. Gabrielle felt the Lord calling her deeper—not only to serve, but to learn to mentor and eventually lead sessions herself.
This month, Gabrielle joined Karen and Olivia, another Eirene Ranch volunteer at the International Ranch Ministry Conference. She shared this reflection after returning:
“For me, the conference became much more than a learning experience. It was also an opportunity to continue my own healing journey after losing the love of my life. The workshop that impacted me most was called Joy in the Mourning. During that workshop, I came face-to-face with just how broken I still am and how heavy grief can be at times. But as I encountered the Lord there, something else happened. I was empowered and equipped with the tools to lead Joy in the Mourning, an eight-week session designed to walk alongside women who have experienced trauma and/or loss. Through that experience, the Lord reminded me that even though I am broken and He is slowly putting the pieces back together, He can still use me. My prayer is that God will use what I have experienced—my trauma, my loss, and my own continuing journey of healing—to help me minister to other women as they walk through their own. I may still be healing myself, but perhaps that is part of what allows me to sit beside someone else in her brokenness and remind her that she does not have to walk through it alone.” 🤍

This week marks one year since we welcomed our first elementary students to Eirene Ranch! ✨❤️🎉 It is hard to believe that an entire year has passed. As we look back, there are numbers we can count: sessions held, volunteers trained, individuals served, and visitors welcomed. But those numbers only tell a small part of the story.
Because behind every number is a name.
A face. A story.
A child learning that she can do hard things. A veteran finding a quiet place to breathe. A woman discovering she doesn’t have to carry pain alone. A family connecting in a new way. A volunteer who came to serve others, only to discover that God was also doing a work in her own heart.
This is what we celebrate after one year—not simply how much has happened, but what God has done! 🤍

Happy Tuesday from Eirene Ranch 🌿🤍 There’s something special about slowing down and taking in all that God has placed around us. The open fields, the animals, the quiet moments, and the people we get to share them with — all little reminders of just how blessed we are. And the best part? You can be a part of it too!! September Marks Mitsey’s Anniversary Eirene Ranch — Equine Assisted Learning for Trauma Healing🐎
One year of Mitsey. One year of watching God work in the most beautiful ways.
When Mitsey first came to Eirene Ranch, she carried fears we didn’t fully understand. Something as simple as being sprayed with fly spray was frightening to her. She was cautious around people, especially men, and needed time, patience, and a gentle approach to begin building trust.
Today, that same girl loves being bathed, welcomes affection, and walks confidently alongside the men in our veterans group. 🤎
But what makes Mitsey’s story so special isn’t just how far she has come in her own healing. It’s how many lives she has touched along the way.
As Mitsey has learned to trust, she has helped others learn to trust again. As she has found courage, she has helped others find theirs. And as she has experienced patience, gentleness, and unconditional love, she has offered those same gifts to the people who come to Eirene Ranch seeking hope and healing.
Sometimes, God allows us to be part of someone else’s healing while He is still working on our own.
Mitsey is a beautiful reminder that healing is a journey, that trust takes time, and that our past does not have to define our future.
We are so grateful God brought this sweet girl into our herd. We can’t wait to see all He has in store for her in the years ahead.

Meet Canvas & Kelsey 🤎🐴 Two of the sweetest boys and just a small glimpse of the many blessings that call Eirene Ranch home. Each animal here was created with purpose and has a personality all their own — and for these two, that includes immediately rolling around and getting muddy the second they’re out of their stalls. 😂
