We’re heading to Pet Expo LAX! 🐾

This Saturday, October 17, Dr. Sarah’s Essentials will have a booth at the Omni Center in Onalaska from 9AM to 4PM. Come meet Dr. Sarah, a veterinarian with 20+ years of experience, and check out our small-batch, non-toxic Natural Pet Care products.

The best part is that the expo is put on by AWARE (Alliance of Wisconsin Animal Rehoming Efforts), and every ticket dollar goes back to Wisconsin rescues, shelters, and sanctuaries. You’ll find shopping, education, kids’ activities, and plenty of adorable adoptables looking for their forever homes. ❤️

🎟️ Tickets are $7 ($5 after 2pm and for students). Kids 12 & under and veterans get in free. Tickets are available at the door!
Note: due to crowds, personal pets are not allowed (service animals are welcome).

Seeing beetles stacked up on your sunny windowsill? You’re not alone. Once crops are harvested and temperatures drop, Asian lady beetles head for buildings to spend the winter, especially sunny, south-facing walls.

They’re harmless (no stinging, no disease, no damage to food or fabric), but they can nip, and they leave a smelly yellow stain when stressed.

Dr. Sarah’s tips:
🐞 Seal gaps now. They fit through openings as small as 1/8 inch.
🐞 Vacuum, don’t crush. A knee-high nylon in the hose makes cleanup easy.
🐞 Want something chemical-free? Spray Shoo-Fly Plus or Shoo-Fly 50/50 around your doors and windows. It may help keep them moving along, and it smells great too.
