🎯Humility Cures Worldliness
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Today | Chosen One | Set apart- our Confidence and Power | Jesus is the chosen one 1 Peter 2:4-6 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is also contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion. A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”
A New Identity: Who We Are in Christ-1 Peter 2:9-10
1 A Chosen -Your worth is not based on performance, background, or achievement. It is rooted in God’s sovereign choice.
2. A Royal Priesthood- You have direct access to God. You represent God to the world. Your life is a ministry.
3. A Holy -You are set apart—distinct in values, desires, and conduct.
4. A People for His Own Possession- You belong to God. Not to culture. Not to your past. Not to your fears. Not even to your own self-definition.
As a Chosen we must live as citizen of heaven - meaning living in the word of God. Philippians 1:27-30
Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Cling unto Jesus and focus on Him. And if you keep attaching yourself to this world, expect no changes and expect no glory!
Chosen-Set Apart means away from ordinary ones. You are now extraordinary! But it is not for you to brag about, don't think that you are better than anyone else, instead of keeping humble.
a.) You are humble and so you are committed to doing good even if it means suffering
b.) You are committed to do what is right and be holy like Jesus. -Desiring for purity.
c.) The authority of your life is Christ: submit to God’s authority – obedience.
d.) Your identity is secure. Your mission is clear. Your hope is unshakable.
e.) You are chosen, royal, holy, God’s possession, built on Christ, watched by the world, shaped by suffering, shepherded by Jesus.

Today | John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and [a]manifest Myself to him.”
Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” Obedience is the evidence of love. (John 14:15) Obedience is not legalism. Obedience is love in action. Obedience is not about control—it is about alignment; It is about walking in step with the God who loves us, leads us, and knows what is best for us.
Obedience is the pathway to: God’s blessing, God’s presence, God’s power and God’s purpose.
When you obey God:
1. You walk in blessing- Deuteronomy 28:1-15 “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
Isaiah 1:19 – If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the “good of the land” (material and spiritual)
2. You experience His presence-: Jeremiah 7:23 declares, “Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you.”
3. You operate in His power – Acts 5:29-32. But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority......And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
4. You fulfill His purpose Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.
Psalms 138:8 The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
Obedience is the key that unlocks everything God has for you.
Choose obedience as your lifestyle. Not out of fear, but out of love.
Philippians 2:1-11 Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

@ Church today | Trusting God in all His ways - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Trusting God Means Yielding to His Wisdom Over Ours and submitting in His authority because we know God knows more, sees more, and loves more than we do. He is our shepherd. Trusting Him requires surrender, and surrender confronts our deepest fears—fear of losing control, fear of the unknown, fear of disappoint Scripture calls us not to partial trust, not to occasional trust, but to trust God in all His ways—even when His ways confuse us, stretch us, or contradict our expectations.
OBEDIENCE is the truest expression of trust John 21:15-22 Jesus said if you LOVE Me FOLLOW Me = If you TRUST Me OBEY Me.
1. Trust aligns us with God’s purpose- When we trust Him, we walk in the path He designed—not the one we improvised. “His wisdom is better than your plans”. “His strength is better than your striving” (Isaiah 55)
2. Trust frees us from anxiety- Worry is the fruit of self-reliance. Peace is the fruit of God-reliance. “His peace is better than your understanding” (Philippians 4:7)
3. Trust positions us for God’s best God cannot bless the path He never asked you to take. His path is better than your shortcuts. (Psalms 119:105)
4. Trust deepens intimacy with God- You cannot know God deeply without trusting Him fully. Psalms 18:30 As for God, His WAY is perfect; The WORD of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who TRUST in Him.
And those who Trust in Him will not be put to shame. (1Peter 2:6)
May the Lord shape our heart to rest in His timing, obey His voice and surrender every part of our lives to His faithful hands. We will trust You Lord Jesus in all of Your ways.
