Happy Memorial Day!💜A salute to the heroes in our Armed Forces!🫡Thank you for your service!🇺🇸
Our conversation turned to 9/11 today as we remembered that day. Strange, how people who weren’t there remember & think of it very differently. I, Mystic Lor was there. I moved to NYC literally 3 weeks prior to 9/11 happening. Thinking and talking about it today, I only remember specific parts of that day. Small moments, fleeting conversations, strong emotions, huge actions. My sister was a college student at NYU at the time, walking to class through Washington Square Park when the planes flew overhead and crashed into the World Trade Centers. One, then the other. She called me, crying, voice shaking, barely able to speak, hyperventilating, telling me she watched it. Then she called again, frozen in fear, couldn’t walk, screaming as she was watching people jumping out of the burning buildings. It’s a wonder how she got through to me on the telephone. I told her to stay where she was & I was coming to get her. That is exactly what I did, against everyone’s advice to stay put & not go outside. I was in fight mode. Neither hell nor high water would stop me on my own private mission. My thought that morning was getting to my sister and rescuing her from the state of shock she was in. Nobody and nothing was going to stop me. The rest is a very long story but I must say, I did what I set out to do and did far more than just that. I used my powers to the best of my ability with what I had to work with, in the middle of the attacks.
Take this day to remember the wars, remember the fallen heroes, remember the heroes who are still with us, remember the sadness, remember the anger, remember the fear, & memorialize them all in compassion, empathy, and love. All in order to not repeat the terrible wars we find ourselves in, again.
Pray for Peace☮️
