It is my honor to announce the new and insanely talented Zariah Barajas from Chicago !! Ranked 1st in the nation for her weight class, she can’t find anyone local to fight because when they hear that they are fighting her, they make a business decision and pull out. The girl has what it takes already….now throw in some breathwork , breath holds and diaphragmatic strengthening exercises ?? I hope you like gold Zariah…..

Mouth taping while exercising forces you to breathe slower under athletic stress, which allows the body to keep more CO2 in the blood. When that occurs, O2 gets delivered to the blood in a much greater quantity.
That means -
MORE POWER
HIGHER VO2 MAX
SPEED
MUSCULAR ENDURANCE
FASTER RECOVERY DURING YOUR COMPETITION
So grab some take from Walgreens for $3.99 and hit the hills this summer Shout out to &

A little quick hitter for your mid-week energy level 😎

Add slow breathing to downgrade cortisol and increase collagen right after your workout….This allows the growth hormone response that you elicit from your workout to be at maximum capacity. If you go right into the “emails, calls, work, kids agh agh agh” rt after the workout, the Gh pulse is weakened because you keep cortisol high, thus taking a little bit of the benefit of the workout you just did.

If you go right into your daily routine of emails , calls or studying after your workout, you are unknowingly taking a little bit away from the recovery has on your growth hormone when you are done working out.

Your growth hormone “pulse” is greatest when cortisol is low, and it’s lowered or worsened when it’s high. By taking 5-10 minutes right after your workout and doing slow cadence breath work - nasal inhale for 3-4 seconds and nasal or mouth exhale for 6-7 seconds- you lower the cortisol immediately after you had driven it up with the workout you finished. By doing that, the growth hormone “pulse” is higher immediately, which can help preserve a better anabolic/recovery environment when you go back into your routine after your workout. This lowers nervous system strain and unnecessary cortisol……

There are decades of data that show by incorporating mouth taping into your high intensity training, you will increase :
*VO2 Max
*Muscular output
*Force and velocity
*HRV
*Quality of sleep
*Recovery
And a decrease in :
*Lactic acid build-up
*Heart rate & blood pressure

The reason this works?

You are increasing your ability to breathe thru your nose with an elevated heart rate.

Why is that important?

You breathe 22% less when you breathe thru your nose. That means that keeps more CO2 in your blood instead of your breathing.

And why does that matter?

It’s been proven that the more CO2 you have in your blood, the more O2 gets delivered from the mitochondria to the muscle, giving you energy. If you train your body to perform under intense, explosive exercises while maintaining and controlling your breathing, you are giving your muscles the best chance at recovery for the next rep/set/play/shot/run/pass/swing…..
