From one of our sweet clients whose baby said she needed a higher level care for her birth, and then thankfully be home for their first visit with Nurse Amy.
There is nothing like welcoming a baby, and watching the person you love show up in such a beautiful way!

In a conversation with Charlotte this week we were discussing her years as a midwife. Her journey began when she was just 18 years old, and she has now been a licensed midwife for 39 years, attending in home, birth center, and hospital settings. She has attended over 4,500 births, including families where she helped 3 generations of women welcome their babies.
When I asked for pictures to make this post, you all flooded me with so many pictures that I took down the request about 12 hours later to avoid getting overwhelmed!
Charlotte has been a blessing to so many families and mothers, including myself.
It's easy to see how much Charlotte loves this work, and how that love will keep her showing up for many more years!

What an amazing year it’s been! As the last few hours of 2025 wrap up I’d love to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude for this work and the families we get to walk alongside. Thank you for trusting us with your care and the care of your babies. Thank you for showing us every day the beauty, determination, and love that embodies this stage of motherhood. Thank you for blessing us by sharing these moments as you welcome your babies into the world.
We can’t wait to do it again and hold that space going into the new year.

This past weekend’s opportunity to capture some holiday memories with the Special Delivery Co team exceeded expectations with how many of you joined us! We plan to bring this back next year!
Now let’s take a moment to highlight these two lovely midwives. The gifts they provide don’t come in the form of gift wrapped boxes, but in the form of comforting presences, knowledge, peace and skilled hands that hold moms and guide little ones into the world. They are such a blessing to us!

Our baby Christmas wreath is in full swing and tonight we added these two ornaments. A baby boy and baby girl, born in rooms right next to each other just hours apart. And another beautiful part? These new little ones are cousins 🩷💙
