At Arlington Traditional School, or MJS, Joyce, our co-founder is pictured introducing herself to the students, and giving an explanation of the organization, right after they read books and learned about Uganda! Student browse and purchase books, supporting their own reading, but also those in Uganda. Throughout the school there are photos and information about AJS in Uganda informing all about the good work being done!

On June 6th , REACH held a pancake breakfast and white elephant sale at the Arlington Woman’s Club. The purpose was to raise funds for our program in Uganda. This was our third annual pancake breakfast, and our first white elephant sale. Many friends and relatives cleaned out their storage areas and provided items for us to sell for profit. We were so grateful for the abundance of items and the support.

We were pleased to see many long-time supporters as well as many new attendees.
Both the pancake breakfast and the white elephant sale were well attended.

Bach to Rock, a music school in Fairfax, VA, provided music for the breakfast. It was a
nice addition to our event and helped to create an upbeat ambiance.

Our annual pancake breakfast is this weekend! While it is later in the day than usual a brunch and white elephant sale will allow all of us to enjoy the day together. While we are selling tickets to eat, coming to survey our collection of goods is free!

Our partnership with the University of Virginia is in full swing! Professors from the School of Education and Human Development introduce an Innovation
Center at the Hawthorne-Scribner High School, including, E-readers, 3-D printers and accessories, microscope hardware, go-pro cameras and even Legos, but also much, much more! Professor will provide training for teachers to introduce high level intensive academic skills training for Uganda students in science and technology. The center will design and produce innovations that directly address needs in their community and create graduates that can be changemakers in their own communities!
