Charley Maynard, 19 years past the news of having pancreatic cancer and that it spread to his liver. 19 years into living past the stage 4 diagnosis and living our dream. We are running toward the day that this is the norm and not the exception. With no clinical trials and no surgery, Charley powered through treatments that he thought for certain might kill him before the cancer. After all of that, here we are.

“I didn’t care how bad I felt – I wasn’t going to lay down for it,” Charley said. “It was the hardest thing I ever did in my life, but I did it.” CM

Charley went through the rounds of emotional turmoil; in the process he decided he was moving forward. Give his story a read for yourself. Charley will give you the facts simply and effectively.

Receiving a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer represents a significant life event. While the situation may seem daunting, individuals can be assured they do not face this journey alone. Joe Levine, this man is 11 years into his journey of surviving pancreatic cancer. He is our Wednesday Warrior this week. The man has also beaten a potentially life-threatening heart problem and an issue with sepsis that he was completely unaware of if not for some mild symptoms. Joe's story reads a little less intense than some and it is not filled with a lot of details about his struggles to survive. However, Joe's story has one persistent and consistent theme when it comes his survival and the fact that he is " above the dirt" as he says. His wife and daughter would simply not allow Joe to ignore any symptom that came along and dragged him to get checked out by doctors. He admits, many of the things he was experiencing he may have ignored and carried on. The women in his life were not having any of it, at all. Here's to the women in your life Joe, may we all take a lesson and count those that love us in this life. Read Joe's story for yourself, it will be time well spent.
