Dante Baker is leading a Sound Bath for Healing here at The Teal Center this Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 am, and we’d love to have you join us!

If you’ve never been to a sound bath, it’s honestly one of the most effortless ways to rest. You literally just lie back, get comfortable, and let the instruments do all the work.

Dante brings such a beautiful blend of wooden flutes, pan drums, and Yantra drums that help melt away whatever stress you’ve been carrying around all week.

𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 "𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐤," 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞.

Many of us spend our weeks in a bit of a rush, usually hunched over a laptop or a steering wheel. (or both!) By the time Friday comes around, our shoulders are up to our ears and our focus is shot.

This weekend at The Teal Center, we’re hosting Dante Baker for a session that’s essentially "maintenance" for your whole body.

Dante blends Tai Chi (slow, flowing movement) with Qigong (gentle stretching and breathing). It’s often called "moving meditation," but really, it just feels like a very intentional way to loosen up your hips, back, and mind.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞?

It’s low impact: No sweating or straining. It’s about ease and coordination.

Better sleep: Most people find that the focused breathing helps them finally "turn off" at night.

Real-world balance: If you’ve felt a bit unsteady or stiff lately, these movements help stabilize your legs and spine.

Dante has been teaching this for over a decade and has a very grounded, practical way of explaining things.

We got to be part of the answer this week.

Our massage therapists Jen Finnegan and Deanna Pineda and acupuncturist Amanda Nguyen spent the afternoon at Arlington Free Clinic, providing free massage and Tui Na therapy for their incredible staff during their appreciation event.
