Today's House-passed continuing resolution stalls harmful changes to federal grantmaking.

"We must be clear on what is at stake. OMB's proposal would allow for the termination of grants – including clinical trials – midstream, without any right to appeal. It would give a single office in the White House centralized control over federal grantmaking, regardless of which party is in control. Unelected bureaucrats could subvert congressional intent and award or terminate grants based on their own political or ideological goals, not scientific merit. This proposed rule would set back medical research in this nation, delaying treatments, cures, and hope for American patients."
