In honor of Memorial Day I would like to introduce my Pops, Master Sargent Taylor. He served with honor, duty, and pride as an MP in the Air Force for 20 years.
He taught me so much about serving and protecting. He passed in 2023 due to dementia. He forgot his war stories in the end, but I remembered them. And let me tell you, he was somebody you wanted on your side! 😉
He continued to serve after retirement by serving as a volunteer in the Patriot Guard Riders. They stood by and protected families in their time of mourning. And for veterans that came home with no families to honor them, the patriot guard did a quarterly full military ceremony with honors. My Pops would fire off his canon, which he loved! 💙
This was him fulfilling his heart purpose until he couldn’t anymore. Teaching me to do the same. It’s an honor and a privilege to sit bedside with any military veteran and hold that space so they can move on to a place of peace they so much deserve. 🤍
Do you have a special veteran that has passed on? Share your stories with me!
I would love to hear them! Let’s honor their memories. 🙏🏽
Blessings to all on this special memorial/memory day. ✨🕊️
