Has something just dawned on you in the middle of an ordinary day?

Because I JUST realized my first tattoo was 30 years ago!

It was one of the very first tattoos I lasered off of myself. It was a "rose" that my friend's uncle did in a basement. I was just 14 years old.

This is Nate. He’s a student at The Other Side Academy, and over the past several years he has completely changed the direction of his life.

As he prepares for what comes next, we’ve been helping remove tattoos connected to gang involvement and incarceration — not to erase where he came from, but to help support where he’s going.

One of the things people outside this industry may not realize is how much visible tattoos can still affect employment opportunities, first impressions, housing, and the ability to fully separate from an old environment. For some clients, laser tattoo removal becomes part of rebuilding a future.
