You spend so much of your day taking care of everybody else, and sometimes taking care of yourself gets pushed all the way to the bottom of the list.

It’s been 3 months in our current location, and we’re still learning, adjusting, and growing every day. 🙏🏽

There have definitely been some growing pains along the way, but that’s part of it. We learn, we make changes, we keep going.

Most of all, I really do “ppreciate” every person who has trusted us with their care through all of it.

And yes… this country talk is really me 😂 I’m just me. I don’t change depending on where I am or who I’m around.

Don’t let the everyday country talk fool you though 😂 I can be country, educated, a little silly, and still know exactly what I’m doing.

And I’m so thankful for Carol too, because we really are walking through this growth together.

We’re not perfect. We’re learning. We’re growing. And we’re just us.

The Hushed Wellness Experience
Massage + IV Hydration + Time to Unwind

Join us Saturday, September 19, from 9 AM–3 PM for an intentionally small wellness experience limited to approximately 10–12 guests.

Your experience begins with a 20-minute chair massage from Therapeutic Massage with Meagan, focused on the back, shoulders, neck, and arms to help lower stress and reduce muscle tension.

Afterward, you’ll transition into the Hushed Lounge for IV hydration and intentional time to unwind. Settle in with a warming eye mask, soft blanket and pillow, aromatherapy if desired, and a few special treats we’re preparing just for the day.

Hushed Momentum | Designed for those who exercise, work physically demanding jobs, or want hydration and recovery support.

Hushed Vitality | Designed for anyone feeling tired, sluggish, or ready for an energy boost.

Hushed Immunity | Designed for hydration and added support during busy seasons, travel, or seasonal changes.

A September Transition Update for Our BCBS Patients

Today, September 1 begins our transition from insurance-based primary care to a fully Direct Primary Care model for ongoing primary care at Hushed and Unheard.

We want to make this transition as thoughtful and smooth as possible.

Beginning September 1, we will not accept new BCBS patients or add new routine insurance-based appointments.

If you already have an appointment scheduled through September 30, your appointment will remain as scheduled.

If you do not currently have an appointment scheduled and would like to continue receiving primary care at Hushed and Unheard, you may enroll in Direct Primary Care and schedule visits beginning October 1, 2026.

DPC allows us to build a more consistent relationship with you. You will not have to save every concern for one visit or avoid returning because another copay or visit fee may be waiting.

We can gather your records, understand your history, decide what needs attention first, and continue working through your concerns with appropriate follow-up.

We are building this model with intentionality and care because your concerns deserve time and focused attention.

If you prefer to continue receiving insurance-based primary care from an in-network BCBS provider, we completely understand. September is intended to give you time to establish with another practice, and we will help make the transfer of your records as smooth as possible.

This is not about pressuring anyone to enroll. It is about making sure you understand what is changing and can choose the path that is right for you.

Happy Transformation Tuesday. 💛

I’m here early this morning putting these little angels together because we had completely run out.

And while they may look like something small, they mean a lot to us.

Every person who chooses Hushed and Unheard is trusting us with something personal. Your health. Your fears. Your questions. Your story.

We know life can be heavy. We know people walk through our doors carrying things we may never fully see.

So when you leave, we want you to take a little reminder with you.

You matter here. You are seen here. And we are grateful that you chose us to be part of your care.

These angels are part of the heart behind Hushed and Unheard.

We truly want every patient to receive one. So if you came in last week and we didn’t get one into your hands, we remember. We were out, but we did not forget you.

Sometimes transformation is not one big moment.

You should not have to cram your whole health story into one visit.

I want to explain why we are building Hushed and Unheard around Direct Primary Care.

I did not step into this model because I wanted to turn people away or make healthcare more complicated. I chose it because I want to provide the kind of care people deserve.

When you have waited weeks for an appointment, taken time away from work, and paid a copay or visit fee, you may feel like you have to mention everything while you are there.

Your blood pressure. Your sleep. The pain you have been ignoring. The medication you are unsure about. The stress you have been carrying. The concern that actually scares you.

Every one of those things matters.

When several important concerns need attention during one visit, it can be difficult to slow down and give each one the thoughtful attention it deserves.

Sometimes the most caring thing we can do is decide what needs our attention first, create a plan, and make time to address the remaining concerns without rushing through them.

That is one of the beautiful things about DPC.

You do not have to cram everything into one appointment because included primary care visits do not require another copay or visit fee every time you return.

Come to me with your history. Let us collect your records from previous providers. Let us figure out what needs attention first and then take the time necessary to work through the rest thoroughly.

We have to break free from feeling like, “If I do not mention it today, I will have to pay another copay, miss more work, or wait months to come back.”

That is not the DPC way.

Beginning October 1, DPC membership will be how we provide ongoing primary care at Hushed and Unheard.

I am building this model with intentionality and care because being heard should be more than telling me everything. It should also mean having enough time for us to do something meaningful with what you shared.💛

I was scrolling the other day and came across a video where they were doing an experiment. A woman was quietly making this hand signal for help, and one thought has stayed with me ever since:

What if the person who helped her had not recognized it?

That really made me think about how easy it can be to overlook something small that may actually be someone’s cry for help.

So today I felt inclined to share this, and this is one of those posts I really hope people will pass along.

Wellness is not only about what is happening physically. Safety, mental health, emotional well-being, and knowing how to recognize when someone may need help all matter too.

Learn the signal. Remember it. Share it.

You may never need to use it yourself, but you never know when recognizing it could help someone else.

Oh my goodness, y’all! The response to The Hushed Wellness Experience has been incredible! 💛

Seeing how many of you are ready for a moment to breathe, reset, and be cared for has confirmed that our community truly needs experiences like this.

I’m hoping to have all the information ready to send tomorrow. I’ll begin with the people who joined the original email list because their thoughts and feedback helped bring this experience to life.

After that, I’ll reach out to everyone who commented or sent a message, as space allows. We want every person to feel relaxed, cared for, and never rushed, so the number of available spots will be limited.

Did the massage catch your attention? Meagan also offers massage appointments here in Asheboro outside of this experience and may be able to connect with you separately.

More interested in IV therapy? You do not have to wait for a special event! IV therapy is available during our regular clinic days.

Are Saturdays your only opportunity because the workweek keeps you busy? I hear you! Saturday Reset days will also be offered throughout the coming months.

September 19 is only the beginning, and I cannot wait for you to experience what we are creating! 💛
