Forgiving myself has been some of the most painful and powerful work I have ever done!
Forgiving myself meant looking at, and reflecting on, how I have contributed to my own pain and suffering…
For how my own pain has nataurally harmed others (unknowingly and sometimes knowingly)…
For how my wounds wounded others, and take personal responsibility and accountability for my behaviors, while also giving myself grace and understanding for how deeply I was hurting in those moments…
Understanding where these self-abusive behaviors originated in my upbringing and releasing them through the act of becoming the parents I always needed to myself.
Inner child and reparenting work allowed me to access greater states of awareness and understanding of myself, my patterns, and how my behaviors were effecting my life and impacting my relationships.
Forgiving myself has freed me to experience so much more joy, ease, love, connection, and more!
Accepting the past and forgiving myself in the present liberated my mind, my body, my heart, and my soul from years of suffering.
It has allowed my to thrive and create stronger, more open and vulnerable, connections with kindred souls.
To have more fulfilling, reciprocal, relationships with people who actually love, value, and see me. To know I am safe sharing my true, authentic, self with them.
Forgiving myself was one of the greatest gifts I have given myself.
It allowed me to release my wounded inner Perfectionist, and reclaim my messy and creative genius.
And now, I fully celebrate myself, how far I have come, and the woman I am today. I love, adore, and cherish her!
Consider where you may be harming yourself by harshly judging yourself…can you make space for forgiveness to enter? Can you open your heart to you own self and let them in?
With love,
Sarah Seraphina
