Thistle And Pearl started in 2015 as a small, two artist studio working by appointments only on Wall street in downtown Asheville. By the end of the year we had moved to our current location and expanded to six artists and started offering piercing as well. The studio continues to provide a unique, comfortable experience, focusing on creating custom artwork and building great client relationships.

Hello all - Ash here. Thistle & Pearl remains closed due to Hurricane Helene. There really is no timeline for when AVL will have potable running water. Most of our artists are displaced and taking refuge in other cities. This is a dire and inexplicably difficult tragedy that we are all using all of our adaptability to overcome.
With that being said - and put together this fundraiser for Asheville tattooers to help. Despite the catastrophic event - some greedy companies and landlords still expect us to come up with bill money. That includes rent money for shops that are not able to work to pay the rent, and despite lack of physical damage, may mean the loss of many shops. We are all unsure of what is to come - whether or not WNC will receive enough support for rent, bills, etc, but still we are out of jobs and/or displaced.
If you are an AVL Tattooer - you can sign up on the page to be included in the even dispersal of these funds. If you are not, or if you have ever been a client of ours and had the opportunity to experience the companionship, love, and sense of family that our shop holds - PLEASE consider donating to help us in this time if you are capable and able. If you cannot- PLEASE share this post and raise awareness. Thank you Bill and thank you Sky for putting this together, and thank you .bull for creating the artwork.
