Not gonna lie, this winter was ROUGH!!

Mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally… all of it!

These last 2 winters were my first couple winters living in a *winter* city (as i grew up in the southwest) and the seasonal depression hit hard.

This was the first day I started to feel like myself again and this Leo is so so SOUL grateful for the sun!!! 🌞

I think it can be so hard as humans to be vulnerable when the hard times hit.

It’s like one part of me is overwhelmed and drowning in anxiety, feeling like there’s no possible way I can move forward…

And the other part of me is like “you’ve been doing the self work for over a decade and you know the tools and processes that can support you through this and this is literally the work you help people through…” so why would i share that I’m having a tough time getting through it?

But I’m constantly reminding myself that vulnerability helps other people get through their own hard times.

Both things can be true, I can be struggling and still trust in the process.

We are not meant to walk this life alone, yet I have felt more alone than ever.

But in my head, reaching out to people has always made me feel like a burden. And that’s a narrative that I am constantly trying to work through.

So here I am.

This has been what I have been going through the last five months.

It’s not pretty or inspiring, but it’s real life.

I’m not really sure how to show up again in this space, or how to find a balance within it all… but I’m working on it.

So if you’re in this season too… i see you, I’m with you.

When you’re a working family with opposite schedules, planning meals isn’t optional... it’s SURVIVAL 🫠

I’ve had those weeks where I skip meal prep, and it’s pure chaos… I’m eating frozen chicken nuggets, and Silver’s living on eggs and yogurt 😅

Meal prep is what keeps us sane, nourished, and on budget, even with a one year old and nonstop days.

Taking a few hours each week to plan ahead means we get to enjoy delicious, nutrient dense meals all week long without the stress! (because seriously guys who needs more stress these days)

I used to cancel plans just to get a workout in.

I’d skip the fries, the dessert, the night out… not because I didn’t want to go... but because I was AFRAID.

Afraid that one meal would undo everything.
Afraid that I’d gain it all back.
Afraid of being seen in a body that wasn’t “perfect.”

I used to eat almonds and cucumbers just so I could still have a drink, because that felt like the only “acceptable” way to have fun.
But it wasn’t fun. It was exhausting.

It took time, intention, and healing… but I learned to let go of that mindset.

I stopped letting food control my joy.
I stopped punishing myself for being human.

And I finally felt FREE.

Free to go out.
Free to eat what looked good.
Free to enjoy the moment without guilt lingering in the background.

✨Because life is meant to be lived.

And there is nothing out there that is worth missing out on memories you’ll never get back.

If you’re working toward food freedom... keep going. It’s worth it.

Because the goal isn’t just “health.”
The goal is to feel ALIVE.
And the beautiful thing? You can have both.

🍬 You do NOT need to EARN your Halloween Candy.

You don’t need to exercise harder.
You don’t need to starve yourself.
You don’t need to do anything less or more to enjoy some Halloween Treats.

✨Let yourself indulge.
✨ Let yourself enjoy whatever you enjoy.

🧡 Simply be aware of how your body FEELS.

🎃 Take pauses in between treats, check in with yourself before you say yes, and HONOR whatever your body may be telling you.

🧡 When we are in tune with our bodies, we are able to make more conscious choices when it comes to our food.
