Wishing our 2SLGBTQIA+ patrons and staff members a fun and safe month of celebration.

Just to be clear, Herbiary stands with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We believe people deserve safety, support, and peace, no matter how they identify or who they love.

If mushrooms can have 36,000 sexes & mating groups, it's safe to say that there is more diversity in our own genome than what some people in society try to dictate. Biology out there being biology.

Thank you to everyone who voted us "Best in NC Regional: Specialty Merchandise Retailer"!!!

We are beyond ecstatic that so many folxs  believe in us. 🥹

There's been some major bumps these past few months, and we've been weaving with the punches. However, winning this award has reignited our passion to offer the best version of Herbiary. We are locked in y'all!

Currently, we are working with restructuring our inventory and streamlining our processes. We're beginning to see the light through all this. 🌥

We hope to reintroduce classes again in the next few months, as well as have in store product demos from our local vendors.

Pretty cool stuff is on the horizon. Thanks for sticking with us through it all! We appreciate you!💓

How many unplanted trays of herbs do you have waiting to get in the ground? 😅

Now is the time to plant for WNC. No more frosts and days of rain in the forecast. You have some weeks to get things done, but you might have certain plants like hibiscus roselle or butterfly pea, where they need ALL the days to produce before frost.

One of our employees attended the Medicines from the Earth Symposium in Black Mountain, NC, over the weekend.

So much wisdom and laughter was shared, and sometimes an occasional song. 💖

Medicines from the Earth ( ) is a fantastic conference that showcases herbal medicine across disciplines. Doctors, practitioners, nurses, acupuncturists, herbalists, educators, and students of different backgrounds coming together to learn about healing.

This year was their 30th anniversary. The Blue Ridge Assembly was able to host the conference once again after it was closed down from devastating Helene damage.

There is great beauty in all of these people sharing and learning, all to become better healers for their communities.

It is equally beautiful to see the land recovering. With plants returning and new buds forming. Although some gentle rain would be nice right now. 🌧

This is your 1 week reminder to get those Mother's Day cards & packages in the mail.

ALSO, our Asheville location will be closed on Sunday, May 10th & Monday, May 11th, for renovations. So that means Saturday is the final day to get last-minute Mother's Day gifts and cards at Herbiary.

We will also be closed again on May 18th & 19th to finish renovations.

We are super excited that once renovations are over, we can resume hosting classes again!!!! 🥰

We are midway between the Spring Equinox & Summer Solstice. Flowers are blooming, birds are nesting, and early spring plantings are maturing in the garden.

WE DID IT! We officially changed over to our new point of sale system!!!! 🥳🥳🥳

We are still patching things up, and all of the employees are still getting used to it, so please continue to have patience with us during this process.

Beauty in every corner.

Take a moment and give some love and appreciation to our beautiful mother who carries and protects us through space.

Orbiting the sun at 67,000 mph. While our solar system blasts around the Milky Way at 514,000 mph. And the Milky Way travels 1.34 million mph drawn to the constellation Hydra. And beyond...

She dances through the cosmos while we live and breathe, unaware of most of the hostilities that lie beyond our atmosphere.

We are a speck in the vastness.

Yet our speck is just as vast in its wonders and beauty.

We hope everyone can see just how special our world is. And treat the land and inhabitants with compassion and reverence.
