As we roll into September, the MAMA program is looking back on 40 years of service to WNC. Over the past 4 decades, we have come a long way, but it all started with group of pioneers who saw the need and answered the call. Without these amazing women and men, we wouldn't be where we are today.

We are so grateful to be a part of the Franklin,NC community. For more than 20 years, MAMA2 has called Macon County home. To be able to play a small part of special night like the opening of Franklin High School's new football stadium, it's just one of the reasons we love serving WNC.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the unexpected passing of Andrew Sutton, a Macon County EMS Paramedic who suffered a medical emergency this morning after completing his shift. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Macon County EMS family during this incredibly difficult time. 💔

Please help us congratulate one of our own, Kelly Pace, for being selected as one of North Carolina’s 2026 Great 100 Nurses. If you know her, you aren’t surprised. Kelly exemplifies clinical excellence, teamwork, and dedication. She doesn’t stop at just being an amazing flight nurse. Kelly volunteers in her community, takes on projects, teaches classes, and always celebrates her co-workers. And, she’s great fun to work with!! We are truly blessed to have her as part of our team and to have her at Mission Hospital. Congratulations Kelly!!
