The Fertile Void: Where the Body Remembers
What if the moments when we no longer know what comes next are not simply periods of uncertainty, but invitations into something new?
In my newly revised essay, The Fertile Void: Where the Body Remembers, I explore how Gestalt theory, embodiment, and mystical wisdom illuminate the creative possibilities within uncertainty.

We are living through a time of profound upheaval, when familiar structures are shifting, old certainties are dissolving, and even our sense of what is normal seems increasingly elusive. We find ourselves at a collective threshold, without a clear map of what comes next.
In Gestalt theory, the fertile void describes a state of openness and unknowing, where familiar patterns of organizing experience loosen and new possibilities can emerge.
Seen through the lens of mysticism, the fertile void becomes something even more profound: a sacred threshold where emptiness is not absence, but a generative presenceโthe mysterious ground from which new life and new forms of being may arise.
And perhaps the body knows something about participating in this mysterious process of becoming that the mind cannot yet explain.
