Do the dishes, the laundry, make the bed, she is tired too
You aren't "too tired" to be a father. You are unconditioned for the duty.
Look at the man in the top frame. He thinks he’s exhausted because of his job. He is wrong.
He is exhausted because he fuels his body with garbage. He is drained because his muscles are atrophying from neglect. He is irritable because his dopamine receptors are fried by his phone. He hides in that chair not just to escape his kids, but to escape the shame of knowing he is capable of more.
When you live without discipline, you have no energy surplus. You are operating in a deficit. So when your son asks to play, or your wife asks for help, you react with annoyance because you are emotionally bankrupt.
Now look at the man in the bottom frame. He didn't get "lucky" with high energy. He manufactured it.
Because he trained this morning, his body is efficient. Because he ate for fuel, his mind is sharp. Because he kept his promises to himself, he walks through the door with Self-Respect.
When you respect yourself, you don't need to hide in a screen. or escape to food or a bottle. You are eager to serve because you are overflowing with power.
Discipline is not a cage. It is the generator that lights up your home.
Stop blaming your job, wife, kids, genetics, or bad luck for your lack of energy. Fix your habits, and your family gets their father back.
If you are ready to build the engine that powers a legacy...
