Do you see moderate sedation for IUD placement?

When intravenous moderate sedation was universally offered for device placement at a multisite outpatient family planning clinic, 1 in 5 patients used it.

Use was more common among nulliparous patients and patients with depression or anxiety, pelvic pain, or a gender identity other than cisgender woman, indicating meaningful demand for additional pain management options in care.
