Tomorrow is Art 4 Aid , and honestly, we’ve spent a lot of time this week reflecting on how we got here.
What started as a small fundraiser with a handful of people who wanted to use art to help others has turned into something we never could have imagined. Every year it gets a little bigger, reaches a few more people, and reminds us just how incredible this community really is.
We can’t believe what this has grown into.
When we opened Midnite Society Tattoo, we wanted a place where artists could create, people could feel welcome, and friendships could be built. What we never expected was that the shop would become the vehicle for something so much bigger than tattooing.
At our core, helping people has always been what we’re most passionate about. Art 4 Aid gave us a way to do that. Because of the support we’ve received from this community, we’re now working toward something that once felt completely out of reach: a community art center where people can create, learn, teach, and connect.
If someone had told us years ago that we’d be having conversations about building an art center, we probably would have laughed.
But here we are.
The truth is that none of this belongs to one person. Art 4 Aid exists because so many people have believed in it and poured their time, talent, energy, and heart into it.
We want to thank every tattooer who is traveling in to donate their time and talent. Every vendor setting up a booth. Every volunteer who will be running around all day making sure things happen smoothly. Every sponsor who believed in this mission. Every person who bought a ticket, shared a post, or told a friend about the event.
A special thank you goes to our board members who have been with us year after year. You’ve helped carry this event through every challenge, every crazy idea, every late-night planning session, every setup day, and every breakdown. We couldn’t do this without you.
Most importantly, thank you to the community that continues to show up for us. You have helped turn a small idea into something that has raised thousands of dollars, helped local families, supported community organizations, and inspired us to dream even bigger.
And we’re just getting started.
