This Men's Health Month, we're proud to celebrate Gabe Essilifie, a member of the Neumann Nursing BSN Class of 2018, whose dedication to mental health care continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Gabe's journey began more than a decade ago as a residential aide supporting individuals facing significant mental health challenges. Through hard work, compassion, and a commitment to serving others, he advanced from psychiatric nursing to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

Today, Gabe provides compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based psychiatric care, helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, and other mental health challenges.

💙 His mission:
"Healing is possible. Everyone deserves compassionate care."

We are especially proud that Gabe was recently featured by Melanin and Maternal Wellness during Men's Health Month, where he shared his professional journey, his passion for mental health advocacy, and the importance of reducing stigma surrounding mental health care.
