Ohio University Community Health Programs Wellness for all. We provide experiences in support of medical and health-related education programs at Ohio University.

The Heritage College's Community Health Programs develop and deliver quality medical and health care services for children and adults throughout southeast Ohio. Our services are aimed at addressing unmet health care needs, and are often geared toward clients and patients who lack adequate medical and health care alternatives. CHP offers the following services:

- Family navigation
- Child and adult immunizations
- Breast and cervical cancer screenings
- Diabetes care and navigation
- Adult health screenings
- OMM and Lifestyle Medicine Clinics
- AmeriCorps COMCorps service opportunities

In addition to dedicated staff members, our services are made possible through the generosity of the physicians, optometrists, students and other health care professionals who volunteer their time and expertise. We also support and encourage those who are exploring careers in medicine and health care.

The 3rd Annual Hands-Only CPR & Heart Health Event at Amesville Elementary!
Students rotated through stations in the gym and had a great time learning about keeping their hearts healthy!
This fantastic event would not have been possible without the participation of 6 HCOM staff members and the help of our amazing volunteers: 17 medical students and 4 nursing students!

Heritage Community Clinic was so pleased to be present at Athens Area Stand Down 2026 on October 2!
Our nurses provided free health screenings to many event attendees and we were joined this year by two second year OU med students, Eric Cervantes, 2nd Lieutenant in the Army, and Connor Snyder, 2nd Lieutenant in the Airforce. They brought donated hygiene supplies in addition to donating 100 medical kits! We appreciate their initiative as did the attendees who benefited from their generosity!
