We've got plenty of Cribettes through our Cribs for Kids and Safe Sleep Education grant for Athens County. Text or call our Family Navigator Program at 740-593-0037. Our amazing Athens City-County Health Department partners also provide Safe Sleep education and distribute cribs. Kits include a detachable bassinet, Sleep Sack and fitted crib sheet.
Grandparents or caregivers looking after an infant in their home are also encouraged to call.
WIC, Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF recipients are automatically eligible. Otherwise, a stated income of 185% or less of federal poverty level is the guideline, which is roughly $30,000 for a family of 1, $40,000 for a family of 2, $50,500 for a family of 3, $61,500 for a family of 4, and so on. (If the pregnant person is the one seeking the crib, or if baby lives with caregiver, add the baby to the household size, even if baby is not yet born.)
That said, if someone doesn't meet those guidelines but still needs a safe place for baby to sleep, please ask. ❤️
