Ohio University Community Health Programs Wellness for all. We provide experiences in support of medical and health-related education programs at Ohio University.

The Heritage College's Community Health Programs develop and deliver quality medical and health care services for children and adults throughout southeast Ohio. Our services are aimed at addressing unmet health care needs, and are often geared toward clients and patients who lack adequate medical and health care alternatives. CHP offers the following services:

- Family navigation
- Child and adul

t immunizations
- Breast and cervical cancer screenings
- Diabetes care and navigation
- Adult health screenings
- OMM and Lifestyle Medicine Clinics
- AmeriCorps COMCorps service opportunities

In addition to dedicated staff members, our services are made possible through the generosity of the physicians, optometrists, students and other health care professionals who volunteer their time and expertise. We also support and encourage those who are exploring careers in medicine and health care.

We’re located at 16 W Green Drive, Athens, OH. Parking is restricted before 5 pm, and visitors are encouraged to arrive no earlier than 4:30 pm.

At our upcoming pantry distribution, the Heritage Community Clinic’s got all the essentials for a cook out. Drop by on Tuesday, June 23 for some hot dogs, ears of corn with the butter to slather on them, and baked beans 🌽🌽🌽

Pantry distribution runs from 5-6:30 pm at 16 W Green Dr, Athens. Parking is restricted before 5 pm, and visitors are encouraged to arrive no earlier than 4:30 pm.

Tick season is here. Check out these helpful tips on how to protect yourselves from ticks and how to remove them when you're out enjoying your Ohio State Parks, Ohio Division of Wildlife areas, Ohio Division of Natural Areas and Preserves state nature preserves and Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry state forests!

Tick bite prevention:
➡️ Know when and were to expect ticks and use repellents according to labels.
➡️ Tuck your pants into your socks and boots and tuck your shirt into your pants.
➡️ Check yourself, family and pets regularly and remove ticks immediately.

How to remove a tick:
➡️ Don't panic.
➡️ Use tweezers to remove the entire tick, including the mouth.
➡️ Monitor your health the following days for any symptoms.
