Today is Memorial Day. We pause to honor the people who have made the ultimate sacrifice and grieve with those who are still here with us. Those who sacrificed, yet survived. Those who bore witness to the atrocities of war yet are expected to easily return to a normal 9-5 life.

The system is broken. It is important to acknowledge that today especially when there are so many veterans who need support that the government won't give them. When they seek relief for themselves simply by consuming a plant, they can be punished as criminals.

Contact your members of Congress to encourage them to give veterans a chance for real support and relief. Give the system more funding and an infrastructure to support their transition back to civilian life.

Although the losses remain heavy, everyone understands that lives will be lost during war. However, lives should not continue to be lost once they return home due to completely preventable circumstances. That's just neglect.

The U.S. House voted last Thursday to let VA doctors recommend medical cannabis to military veterans. Most of the cannabis industry is celebrating. Robb
