OH. MY. GOD. Y'ALL!! 😍

We had our very first Grail staff photos done with the illustrious ATHENS GA BO***IR STUDIO! It was such a joyful experience. You may recognize her work from in our fitting rooms! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect fit since Claire shares our dedication to empowering women in their bodies, both on and off camera. A few of us are a little camera shy, but she was an absolute natural at keeping us comfortable throughout the whole shoot.

This is just the first round of looks! We'll be updating our website soon, as well as introducing our staff here on our page in the near future. Please give Claire a follow! Her work is drop dead gorgeous, and she is true to her claim of being the biggest hype woman!

When elastic was introduced to bra making, vintage patterns needed to update their sizing to accommodate the new stretchy material. However, some people found their new sizes to be uncomfortable due to this change. Thus, the +4 method was born. This was intended as a transitional system that added 4 inches to band measurements, leading to a "comfier" fit. Unfortunately, this compromises the support of a bra, as the band is the most important part of a fit.

Some manufacturers and stores still rely on outdated techniques. If you're interested in learning more about modern versus vintage sizing, stop by the shop! We'll happily infodump about the evolution of fitting and pattern making!

The U.S. market has been really rough for lingerie brands since 2025. Dita Von Teese Lingerie has announced that their entire product line is being discontinued... It's not the first brand that we've lost, but it's a particularly sad one. Dita's styles were all so unique and gorgeous. We grabbed up a few remaining styles: the Fortunia plunge bra, Floradora balconette bra, and their matching panties. If you wear between a 32 and a 38 band with a B-G cup, let us know if these catch your eye!

The Grail team is trying to crack the code of the "Grandma Bra," and we'd love to hear from y'all! What is it about a certain style that screams Grandma to you, personally?

All of the bras pictured have been called "grandma bras" in the shop by customers at some point. We can kind of see it in certain cases, but other examples have left us scratching our heads. So what do you think: Grandma or Nah?
