This was from a post 6 years ago about a 2009 to 2019 challenge. It showcased one of our long time members, Melody. Melody not only continues to be in our TFW program, but she is also a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We are big fans of Melody. PS. Melody still looks great and lifts even bigger weights. Be like Melody.

Melody is consistently in the Dojo working on her Mojo! She’s a full-time teacher and mother but still Makes time to invest in herself. She continues to get stronger by lifting heavy weights and sprinting. She now trains in the other side of our Dojo in our martial arts classes, too!

Tell me, does she look bulky to you?! Ladies... we promise you won’t get bulky by lifting weights! With the right guidance and dedication to yourself, there’s nothing you cannot do. Let us help you lose fat, build muscle, and feel 10 (or more) years younger!!

Attention Tribe:

Due to inclement weather, all classes are canceled on Friday, January 10th. Please stay tuned for updates regarding Saturday’s classes and the Student Appreciation Party at the ice skating rink and food back at the academy. As of now, we plan to still have the party. We will provide updates as we receive more information on road conditions. Stay safe!

Almost $7k raised and over 20k meals created for our community. It’s why we always say, “SBG Athens is more than just martial arts.”

Toys for Tots is ongoing until Dec 13. Drop off a new, unwrapped toy and ensure that every child has a wonderful holiday. Lfg!!!

Beginning tomorrow, our website will start accepting donations for this year's Hunger Bowl. The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia is asking for monetary donations this year since $1=3 healthy meals.

Here is a little video, put together by a team of UGA students, featuring our very own Coach Rory. Coach Rory is very passionate about feeding the food insecure in our area and hopes that his words will help inspire others to join the cause over the next few weeks. This is SBG, you will be okay.
