UPDATE: The Christmas Parade will now be held this Sunday, December 7 at 6PM.

‼️ ATTENTION: The Athens-Limestone County Christmas Parade– NEW DATE SUNDAY DECEMBER 7 has officially been POSTPONED due to impending inclement weather!

A new date will be announced as soon as possible. We will keep updating our page as soon as we have more information.

Hometown Pharmacy will be closed on Thursday, November 27th for Thanksgiving. We will be open on Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm. We hope you all have a happy time with family and friends!

From the Sanitation Dept.:

Leaf pickup is underway. There is not a set schedule.

A crew will work from the west to the east side and repeat the process during the season as staffing allows.

Leaves combined with debris or limbs will not be picked up.

Please do not place leaves in the street or in drainage ditches, and please do not block drainage inlets or culverts.

Hometown Pharmacy will be closed on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday at 9:00am.

UPDATE: the bill passed the Senate with a unanimous vote! It will next be introduced in the House once they return from their spring break. Don't let up! Talk to your representatives and let Governor Ivey know how important this issue is!

Today, SB252 will be introduced in the Alabama Senate. This is a bipartisan bill that will preserve YOUR access to the pharmacy of your choice. RSA has sent out mass texts urging PEEHIP beneficiaries to oppose this legislation, but as teachers, you need to ask them to SHOW THEIR WORK. Other states who have enacted similar legislation have SAVED $50 million dollars in the first year alone without compromising health care access. Why would it be any different in Alabama? Contact your legislator TODAY and let them know you want to KEEP YOUR PHARMACY!
