As most of us know in this space July is Fibroid Awareness Month .

As a 41 year old woman who has had 2 myomectomy surgeries and the last one almost taking my life . I have been trying to show up more in this space even though fibroids in 2026 feeling more like an epidemic than anything .

It’s been a little hard this year for me as I relaunch Mind Your Own Womb™️ and prepare for being seen again in this space due to what I have learned since my first diagnosis. During this month we are meant to educate the public about non-cancerous uterine growths, promoting early symptom recognition, and highlighting available treatments for the millions of women affected.

However , for some there is no “cure” and that’s what no one really wants to speak of . I do encourage us all to do our best healing ourselves even when fighting against life stressors , hereditary womb health issues , and undiagnosed diseases that may in return affect your current diagnosis!

If no one has told you recently woman warrior you are doing an amazing job accepting , and existing in your current state . So excited for you to get better with the choices you make to heal your current state !

I know I’m late on this trend but baby I’m glad that when I didn’t see a community I created one !

Knowing that 1 out of 4 woman can not have children for various reason and people still ask women everyday why they don’t have children in 2026 is so insane to me !

Break societal norms one conversation at a time ! We not doing that anymore ! Netflix CALL ME I have so much to say about this !!!

Hard truths but reality for alot of us . U hate that I can relate

So if I can be transparent with a community I love oh so much !

Women sharing their experiences is so empowering but this go round I personally know way too many women dealing with womb health related issues and especially dealing with fibroids !

It’s honestly a lot to deal with! Especially in my field of doing hair and knowing so many women’s issues , friends , family etc . This go round seems extremely heavy for me . And I know the point was to be apart of the movement that’s going viral and bringing awareness.

I don’t have it today yall . Maybe tomorrow 🤗

This is and will always be one of the strangest ideas . I have heard from clients to men I date . Oh look how easy your life is or must be without children 👀👀👀 who said that ?!?

12/12/25 🎥: . Judging women without children will not fix burnout, loneliness, or broken systems. It just keeps women fighting each other while the real problems go untouched. Support women. Period.

As we wrap us October I would like to acknowledge Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Which honors the grief of parents who have lost a child and promotes support.

The reason Mind Your Own Womb is so important is because you never know what someone is going through or been through . Imagine asking a woman about when she is having children and she just lost her baby ?!

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, a time to shed light on a condition that affects millions of women around the world, including myself. I was diagnosed in 2014, but the symptoms had been a part of my life since middle school. Living with chronic pain is a challenge I wouldn’t wish on anyone, yet through my journey of diagnosis, two surgeries, and learning to understand my body, I’ve found strength in the struggle. I’ve made choices that have brought me relief and peace, and despite it all, I remain deeply grateful for the resilience I’ve discovered within myself. My hope in sharing my story is to inspire young girls and women to listen to their bodies, to ask the hard questions, and to never stop advocating for their health. We are stronger than we know.

🤍Fibroids are non cancerous tumors located inside or outside of the uterus .

🤍Around 1 in 3 women with fibroids will experience symptoms.

* heavy, painful periods, also known as menorrhagia
* anemia from heavy periods
* lower backache or leg pain
* constipation
* discomfort in the lower abdomen, especially in the case of large fibroids
* frequent urination
* pain during in*******se, known as dyspareunia
* hip pain
* brain fog
* breast plate pain ( for me due to location of one of the fibroids 😩)

🤍I am here , I see you , and we are not alone !
