💚 It’s the final of Arthritis Awareness Month! 💚

Today, we’re proud to spotlight Aubrey, this year's Teen Honoree at the Raleigh Jingle Bell Run on Saturday, December 5th, whose strength and resilience inspire us every day.

Aubrey is an active middle schooler who loves baking, softball, cheer, summer swim, and spending time with friends. She was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at just five years old after experiencing persistent knee pain and swelling. Since then, she has endured countless knee drainings, weekly injections for nearly two years, medication flare-ups, and now receives bimonthly infusions to manage her condition.

Despite the challenges of juvenile arthritis, Aubrey has never let it slow her down. She hopes to raise awareness and help others understand that arthritis can affect children too.

Join us in supporting Aubrey and families like hers as we work toward better treatments, support, and ultimately a cure.

We were so proud to celebrate Dr. Melika Gilbert, recipient of the Lee C. Howley Junior Prize for Early Investigators in Arthritis Research.

As a pediatric rheumatologist caring for children and families across the Carolinas, Dr. Gilbert is making an incredible impact through both her research and compassionate care. Her remarks are heartfelt, inspiring, and such a powerful reminder of why partnership and advocacy matter so much for our JA community.

We hope you’ll take a moment to watch and celebrate the amazing work being done right here in the Carolinas.💚

Getting the Walk to Cure Arthritis photos back and reliving such an incredible day is a one of a kind way to kick off the week. đź’™

More than 450 people endured the rainy weather and together raised nearly $65,000, exceeding our goal by more than double! We are so proud and grateful for what this community continues to accomplish when we come together in support of one another.

A special thank you to our photographer this year, Dawn Harris, for volunteering her time and talents! We are so thankful for you.
