Insurance verification is the number one PREVENTABLE cause of claim denials.

Here's what should be confirmed before every patient visit:

✓Is the policy currently active?

✓Does the plan include your specialty benefits?

✓What's the deductible and how much has been met?

✓What's the copay or coinsurance amount?

✓How many chiropractic visits are allowed, and how many are remaining?

✓Is a referral or prior authorization required?

✓Who did you speak to, and what's the reference number?

That last one is KEY. If a payer ever disputes your claim, that reference number is your proof.
