Today’s MOJO RISING podcast is with a former senior member of the NIH, MD/PhD Dr. Russel Jaffe.

This man changed my life in a pretty major way. Many of you know I suffered from hives from the day I got divorced in 2010 until I was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. What changed? Oscar ordered a test called the Elisa LRA test from PERQUE and it unlocked 13 years of misery - all because of gluten, soy, sugar, green grapes, chives, dates, tuna, and scallops. Countless doctors all told me that there is NO way that I would ever find out why I had daily hives - and just added pharmaceuticals to try to mask the symptoms.

Those same pharmaceuticals blocked my immune system from finding the cancer and allowed it to develop in the first place. Yes, I am confident these same meds are one of the 6 reasons my body developed cancer. As a reminder 92% of cancers are because of what we do, think, eat, and drink - so we have a hand to play in cancer forming, means we have a hand to play in cancer NOT forming as well!

So if I had this info 10 years ago, I would have made a WAY different choice. Instead of the biologic shots twice a month, up to 8 zyrtec a day, steroids, and up to three other pharmaceuticals daily, I would have just shifted my diet - and likely not developed cancer OR had hives. Instead I had to get diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in order to dig a little deeper to figure out the root causes of my health issues.

But this just scratches the surface of what I learned from Dr. J. This man knows everyone from every living president, to the Dali Lama, to Chuck Norris. He is one of the most influential, intelligent, and respectable men walking the planet today. Did you know age is mostly just a construct? We can influence our biologic age - which can be decades different than our chronological age.

This is a wildly valuable episode that EVERYONE should listen to.

Today’s MOJO Rising podcast is all about how you create a body that is inhospitable to cancer - basically how to release the toxins and feel your absolute best so you never have to deal with hard tumor cancer (unless you are one of the unlucky 10% with a genetic disposition)!

My podcast guest was my “uncle” Peter Brodhead - the Godfather of MOJO Health
Peter is a treasure trove of health information - especially around nutrition and herbs where he has spent his entire life researching how we can bring the best of who we are to life.

His insights are NUMEROUS…… but a few that everyone can apply:

- Ditch the oils that are terrible for you (he suggests olive, avocado, etc.)

- EAT THE RAINBOW (colors of fruits/vegetables matter! My goal is 5 per day - Mushrooms snd Kiwi are supremely good choices)

- Sauna/Sweating is GREAT to release toxins trapped in your body

- Eat your Supplements - especially D, Magnesium, etc. (listen for everything that could be applicable to you)

- Sitting is the new Smoking - so you got to move for a few minutes every hour!

The road to health is built by making as many good decisions as possible. So pick one of these this week to apply and really focus on that one…. Then take the next suggestion and apply it the following week. By making a big dramatic change, you face organ rejection… but by making small changes little by little, you realize how little each individual thing actually means.

Just some quick FYIs on World Cancer Day from a Stage 4 cancer survivor:

1. You can create a body that is inhospitable to cancer. Cancer isn't random (unless you are one of the 10% of cancers that are genetic).

2. You can use data to predict cancer behavior. There are MANY types of cancer - and each one has a different healing pathway.

3. Food is not only fuel, its medicine. EAT THE RAINBOW (produce, not skittles!)

4. Your environment, especially the the chemicals in your products (cleaning, beauty, etc.) can cause cancer. Choose as many clean products as you can to help protect yourself.

5. Energy and Stress play a HUGE Part in cancer forming.

I am spending every spare moment possible working to change the cancer game for everyone who follows in my wake. Even if you don't have cancer and just want to follow to understand how you can avoid ever getting cancer and have stronger core health, check out MOJO Health
