Mr. Wright had one simple wish: he wanted “Pop Pop’s Crew” tattooed on his forearm, a heart representing his three grandchildren and the love he carries for them 🫶

Some wishes are big. Some take us somewhere new. And some wishes happen quietly at home, straight from the heart! 💙

Mr. Wright told us that his grandchildren may never fully know just how much this tattoo means to him. It is more than ink. It is a symbol of how deeply he loves his family, how much they have meant to his life, and the piece of his heart that will always belong to them.

This is what he wanted.
And we were honored to help make it happen.

A heartfelt thank you to Harley for taking the time to give Mr. Wright something so meaningful, and to his wonderful family for inviting us so graciously into their home and allowing us to share in such a personal moment.

This wish is every bit as big as any other we’ve done.

It is with a sad heart that I share that my husband, Mark Roberts, passed away on August 14.

While our family is grieving, we are also celebrating a life well lived, a life grounded in faith, family, service, and helping others.

Mark was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2014 at the age of 62. None of us could have imagined then where that diagnosis would lead us. Mark chose to speak openly about living with dementia and, over the years, shared his experiences with countless people. He wanted professionals, families, and communities to better understand dementia by hearing directly from people living with it.

There were several founding members who helped create the National Council of Dementia Minds, and each played an important role. But for me, the story of Dementia Minds will always begin with Mark. His diagnosis changed the course of our lives and eventually brought us together with an extraordinary group of people living with dementia who believed their voices and experiences could make a difference.

What grew from those early conversations became the National Council of Dementia Minds. I don't think either of us could have imagined where that journey would lead or how many lives Dementia Minds would touch along the way.

Mark believed deeply in education and in helping others better understand dementia. In keeping with that commitment, he chose to donate his body to Michigan State University Medical School to help educate future healthcare professionals.

I am incredibly proud of Mark and grateful for the life we shared. I am also grateful for the many Dementia Minds members, volunteers, professionals, partners, and friends who became part of our lives along the way.

We will miss him deeply, but we will also celebrate him and the difference one life can make. Thank you for caring about Mark, for caring about me and our family, and for being part of the Dementia Minds family.

For all of us!

I just want to let EVERYONE know… Rhonda, with Heritage Home Health and Hospice… is the REAL MVP. Anything I bring up or mention, she’s rearranging her schedule, and trying to make sure, she can be there for us!! Heritage HomeHealth and Hospice don’t know the gem they have with her, and as for the community, she truly knows, most people in this town and only wants what’s best for them and their family💕 Rhonda has helped, tremendously, with Golden Villa Nursing and Rehab activities, and deserves so much more than a
Pat on the back, but we’ll take it lol! Rhonda, is the type of person, that wants NO recognition, but she truly deserves it!!!So, if yall see Rhonda, out in the wild,Please Thank her, for everything she’s done for Golden Villa Nursing and Rehab!!!
