Prana Mudra

Bring the tips of your ring finger and pinky to meet the tip of your thumb. Index and middle fingers extend long. Rest the backs of your hands on your thighs.

Feel the circuit close in your hands.

Now breathe into that.

Inhale through the nose, belly softens and expands, low ribs widen, pelvic floor yields. The breath rises like a tide from the root.

Without pausing at the top, let the exhale begin. Slow, full, the center drawing gently inward and up.

Without pausing at the bottom, inhale again.

One continuous wave. No holds. No gaps. Inhale flowing into exhale, exhale flowing into inhale.

Let the mudra anchor you as the breath begins to move on its own. You are not driving it, you are riding it.

Stay here for ten to twenty minutes. If the mind wanders, the hands will bring you back. If sensation arises, breathe into it. If emotion moves, let it move through the breath.

The mudra holds the container. The connected breath fills it, empties it, fills it again.

It’s been raining all week here in Georgia, but our drought conditions are still quite present. Thankfully, more rain is in the forecast. I’m craving more sun on my skin, however, so it has been challenging my patience to work around and in the rain more, often with a wet dog in tow. And yet, I also know the rain is much needed, so I’ve been deliberately leaning into gratitude and noticing the glimmers that the rain brings with it. Mushrooms have always been a favorite of mine among Earth’s many creatures and plant allies, so I hope to plan a hike and after-rain treasure hunt in the week ahead.

Today, in between storm clouds, this tiny little tree frog visited my back deck garden. Her medicine came back to me later in meditation, and could not be more pertinent to the energy I’m working with right now.

Grateful, grateful for Earth’s medicine and her little messengers.

Frog Medicine; Transformation Through Water and Sound

The frog’s core medicine is metamorphosis: egg to polliwog to frog, always maintaining contact with the creative waters from which it came. It is a symbol of coming into one’s own creative power while never losing touch with the Source.

As an amphibian of both water and land, frog carries the magic of two worlds, linking it to ancient elemental lore, shamanic rain traditions, and lunar/goddess energies (particularly the Egyptian goddess Herit and the mythology of Isis and Osiris).

Water is frog’s primary domain, and water governs emotion. Those with frog medicine tend to be deeply attuned to the emotional currents of others, instinctively knowing how to respond with sincerity and care. If frog has appeared, it may be calling you to examine your inner waters: are they fresh and flowing, or stagnant and murky?

Frog is also a herald of fertility and abundance, associated with rain that makes things grow, both literally and creatively.

Sound is the second pillar of frog medicine. The frog’s call defines territory, calls in connection, and in shamanic traditions, literally calls the rains. Frog people are meant to develop their voice as an instrument of emotional and elemental influence.

What falls away under this Sagittarius full moon is the weight of borrowed authority. The voices outside of ourselves we have mistaken for truth, the permissions we have waited on that were never anyone else’s to grant. Sagittarius calls us back into the seat of our own oracle. We can no longer perform confidence, but it is safe to drop the masks and the pretense. The real and quiet thing beneath it all, the flame that does not require an audience to keep burning is calling us into this turning. This is the lunation that asks whether we are willing to be guided by what we already know, to trust the intelligence that has been alive in us long before circumstance taught us to second-guess it. As a Sagittarius sun, I’m often accused of meeting life with an unreasonable amount of optimism. And well, guilty as charged, though not naïvely. This is the kind of faith that has been tested, that has walked through genuine darkness and emerged still leaning toward the light, still hungry, still saying yes to the whole bewildering feast of being alive. Let what is heavy fall. Let what is luminous lead.

To have courage is to live from our whole hearts. The heart carries both our sorrows and our hopes. Grief and joy. Accepting this strange paradox often sustains me. Especially now, as the world we once knew crumbles, and we are yet to see what the universe has in store for us in the world that awaits us ahead. Perhaps this is what it means to be truly alive in a time of unraveling. To not have the answers, and not know the exact shape of what is coming, but to still remain present to all of it. To let the grief move through without closing the door to wonder. We cannot force the new world into being, nor can we return to what was. We can only hold the vision of hope like a small flame cupped in our hands. Sheltering it, trusting it, believing that even in the dark, it is enough to take the next step.

This New Moon at 25°57’ Ta**us is an invitation to come home to our bodies and connect with a sense of stability and security rooted in self-awareness and self-trust rather than external certainty or predictability. That specific framing, self-trust as the ground rather than external conditions, is the essential message. Embodiment is the gateway. Ta**us teaches the art of staying. Staying with desire, with devotional effort, with the slow pleasure of growth. This is the Moon of roots, soil, and patience, where intentions are grounded in what we are willing to tend. It invites us to reconnect with our physical life as something holy, not secondary to ambition or productivity. Emotions settle into the body rather than racing through the mind. Ta**us energy does not respond to pressure, it responds to consistency. Resistance may arise from instinct rather than fear. If something feels forced, your body will know. Ta**us teaches discernment through sensation. This is where a daily somatic devotion, begun now, carries unusual staying power because the ground itself is ready to hold the seed.

Lymph Assist Tincture; A Scorpio Moon Offering

The Scorpio full moon is, above all else, a moon of purge. What has been composting in shadow; the old grief, the calcified pattern, the emotion held too long in tissue, rises now to be metabolized and released. The body knows this. The lymphatic system, that quiet underworld river running just beneath the skin, quickens under this transit, and the wise herbalist meets it with plant allies who know the art of moving what has stagnated.
Burdock root is the great blood cleanser, an earthy Plutonian medicine that draws impurities out through the liver and the skin, supporting the organs of elimination so they can receive what the lymph is mobilizing. Dandelion works in close partnership, root and leaf both, the root deepening the liver’s capacity to process and transform, the leaf lending its diuretic action to flush the kidneys clean, opening the downward channels so toxins have somewhere to go. Together they form a kind of underground drainage system, terrestrial and unhurried, doing exactly what Scorpio asks: thorough, complete, leaving nothing behind.
Cleavers is the lymph’s most precise and devoted friend. A spring plant by nature, it carries that seasonal intelligence of renewal and clearing, and its affinity is almost exclusively with lymphatic tissue — moving congestion, reducing swollen nodes, thinning the lymph so it can circulate freely. In a Scorpio full moon tincture, cleavers is the channel itself, the river made passable. And then there is echinacea, activating and immunological, waking the body’s innate intelligence and ensuring that whatever is being stirred up is also being properly identified and escorted out. It lends a certain sovereignty to the process. Not just cleansing, but conscious defense.
Made under this Scorpio full moon, this tincture carries the initiatory charge of the lunation directly into its medicine. Taking 22 drops in water a few times per day is a form of ritual as much as medicine. You are asking the body, gently and botanically, to participate in what the sky is already initiating. The Scorpio lunation does not allow things to remain half-released. This tincture honors

The words that dashed any remaining threads of hope I had for repair and reciprocity. Scorpio clarity often arrives with a sting.

Deep conversations beget an honest and intimate connection; This is the Scorpio moon way to the heart, but not everyone can meet us where we are arriving after this full moon. And Beltane season is poised to help assist in the alchemization of whatever pain rises to the surface after our journey into the underworld.

Mercury conjunct Chiron at this lunation is an opportunity to heal the throat chakra with the heat of the Aries Beltane fire but powered by the much wiser ruler of Mars, Scorpio. The Shaman of the zodiac. This is the kind of conversation where two people stop performing and start telling the truth. Scorpio knows: intimacy is forged in the willingness to say the unsayable; to let another witness the parts of you that don’t yet have tidy edges.

This full moon asks us what we have been circling
instead of entering. What conversation keeps getting postponed in favor of the comfortable and the safe. Beltane is a threshold; the year cracking open into fullness, desire rising through the ground like heat. Scorpio holds the door to the underworld of the self, that terrain where the real things live.

Together they say: go deep, and go toward.
The most sacred union is the one with the self, and it begins with honest words that draw the shadow up into the light to be named, witnessed, and met.

Happy Ostara!

The vibe feels charged tonight.
This full moon is releasing a pressure valve the nice and easy way if we allow it.
Fire on the horizon.
Let the body soften in its anticipation rather than clench.
Something is completing itself.
Trust the exhale.
The light knows where it’s going.

Pain asks to be heard, not carried forever. It shaped who we were, but it doesn’t have to decide who we become.

When we let the heart witness it, pain stops being just a wound and starts becoming a signal; showing us what matters, what was missing, what wants to live differently through us now.

We don’t grow by pretending it never happened. We grow by letting it change how we choose, how we love, how we move forward.

At some point the question shifts from “Why did this happen to me?” to “Now that I see it clearly… what will I create from here?”

And that’s where the new story begins.
