I’m never gonna be one that lets age or a gazillion kids stop me from staying fit! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Not only am I intentionally putting in the work but I’m also modeling to my boys that’s it’s important to take care of yourself.

During our 20th anniversary trip my husband put together a photoshoot for us that was amazing! 😍😍😍

Being that I am Bertha’s daughter, I always got a dress ready when I travel. 😂.
Having locs came in handy cause all I had to do was a braid out to get my hair looking right! 😂

It was hot out there but everything turned out beautifully!

Baby, I love seeing you every morning when I open my eyes.
I love feeling your heart beating beside me every night.
I pray that we continue to feel this way together till the end of all time.
I am so grateful to spend my life with you!🥰😘😘

20 YEARS. ❤️🥂

And somehow, it feels like it went by in the blink of an eye.

Twenty years of marriage, and I can genuinely say that I am still so happily, deeply and madly in love with this man. ❤️

Time didn’t dim the flame. If anything, it made it burn brighter.

We’ve grown up together. We’ve built a life together. We’ve laughed, traveled, dreamed, raised a family, weathered hard seasons, celebrated beautiful ones, and watched each other become different versions of the people who first said, “I do.”

Did making it to 20 years require work? Absolutely.

We’ve had to communicate, forgive, compromise, grow, be intentional and continue choosing our marriage. But some of the “work” never felt like work.

Dating my husband doesn’t feel like work.
Laughing with my best friend doesn’t feel like work.
Making memories together doesn’t feel like work.
Still flirting with each other doesn’t feel like work. 😂❤️

And maybe that’s part of the beauty of it.

We didn’t simply stay married for 20 years. We kept building a marriage we wanted to be in.

And today, I don’t just love you because of everything we’ve already shared. I’m excited about everything that’s still ahead of us.

If these first 20 years went this fast, we’d better make the next 20 even better. ❤️

Happy 20th Anniversary to my husband, my best friend, my love.
