HIVE MIND ARISE Collective is an investigation into the intersection between art and healing. Recognizing that art has the capability to change the world, HMA seeks to use dance, sound, installation, performance, photography, and painting to activate positive social change through an emphasis on meditation and self care. Through workshops, meditations, yoga classes, and creative interactive instal
lations, HMA seeks to engage the Atlanta community to elevate consciousness around local and global issues—bringing awareness to inner conflict and projecting that awareness out into the greater world. Modeling itself after the performance art venue, The Kitchen, HMA will create a space to encourage and nurture performance art experimentation. Additionally, HMA seeks to offer an alternative space apart from the prominent bar culture scene in Atlanta by offering a Tea, Tonic, and Potions area within the HONEY HIVE. Through the power of art and creativity, HMA will empower participants to inspire positive social change by becoming the change in the world they want to see. The public will have access to daily workshops including dance, yoga-related activities, and meditation as well as the opportunity to interact with various installations that help provide a meditative space through light and vibration. On weekends and during various lunch times, the HONEY HIVE will provide a space to drink tea and interact with the installations on display from a broad range of artists working in many mediums. HMA hopes to create an immersive experience, allowing individuals reset and find stillness away from the chaos.
