The American Cancer Society estimates that 333,830 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. in 2026.
About 1 in 8 men will receive a prostate cancer diagnosis during their lifetime.
The 5-year survival rate is over 98% when the disease is caught early before spreading.
🔵Men at average risk should talk to a doctor about screening starting at age 50.
🔵African American men and those with a family history (a father or brother diagnosed at an early age) should begin discussions at age 45.
🔵Men with multiple close relatives diagnosed at an early age should discuss screening starting at age 40.
