With today’s official closing of the Fayette CARE Clinic, the Healing Bridge Clinic is stepping up to ensure our community's most vulnerable patients don't lose access to essential healthcare.

As we welcome these new patients into our clinic family, we are preparing for a substantial increase in demand for primary care, medications, and specialty services. Many of these individuals are working families living at or below 200% of the federal poverty line - people choosing between groceries and lifesaving medicine.

But growth on this scale requires expanded resources. Now is the time for our community, business leaders, churches, and civic organizations to rally together. Investing in charitable healthcare is not only compassionate - it is an investment in a healthier, more stable community for us all.

Please welcome the newest addition to the Healing Bridge Clinic Board of Directors, a face that many of our patients and volunteers already know and love: Dr. Joseph Dyer!

Dr. Dyer is no stranger to the HBC family. Since 2018, he has generously donated his time and expertise as a volunteer dermatologist, providing essential care to our community. He has long been one of our fiercest advocates, once calling the Healing Bridge Clinic "an absolutely indispensable force of good in the community." Now, he’s bringing that same passion and dedication to our leadership team.

We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Dyer’s continued commitment to our mission. Congratulations Dr. Dyer!!!

We were thrilled to receive a very generous grant earlier this year for our primary care program from the Georgia Baptist Health Care Ministry Foundation (GBHCMF)! The Foundation plays a vital role across our state. By providing crucial financial grants to non-profit, faith-based clinics like ours, they help lighten the burden for healthcare providers so we can focus on what matters most: delivering "hands-on," compassionate medical care to underserved and uninsured neighbors. Their generosity ensures that thousands of Georgians have access to life-giving healthcare, embodying the true spirit of service and love.

Because of their commitment to keeping our community healthy, we continue to offer high-quality primary care at no charge to those who need it most. Thank you, GBHCMF, for being the hands and feet of Jesus and partnering with us in this mission!

A WSB-TV special that featured the Healing Bridge Clinic won an EMMY Award at The EMMY Awards - Southeast ceremony this past weekend. “The Giving Gap” highlighted fundraising challenges nonprofits like ours face every day, and how we’ve been able to rise to the challenges to care for uninsured and underserved people in our area. Congratulations to WSB-TV on the EMMY (being held by WSB-TV news anchor Karyn Greer) and THANK YOU for making us a part of your award-winning work!

After years of dedicated service, the Fayette CARE Clinic sees its final patients today. Here at the Healing Bridge Clinic, we are working to ensure that no one is left without the medical support they need. However, transitioning these neighbors into our care means a significant increase in costs – specifically for initial lab testing and diagnostics required to establish their treatment plans.

To provide these patients with a seamless transition and the high-quality care they deserve, we need your support. Donate today at www.healingbridgeclinic.org/donate.

Reporter Brian Unger from CBS Atlanta recently visited us to share how we are preparing for this influx of patients and what it means for our community’s health safety net. Watch the full story here: https://www.cbsnews.com/atlanta/news/healing-bridge-peachtree-city-vulnerable-patients-clinic-closures/

Without clinics like Fayette C.A.R.E., some patients delay treatment until a medical crisis forces them into an emergency room. That's what Healing Bridge Clinic is trying to prevent.

05/13/2026

Did you know that 1 in 8 Georgians currently lacks health insurance? Free clinics like the Healing Bridge Clinic are the front lines of this crisis, treating patients for just 6% to 8% of the cost of a Medicaid visit.

This "Faces of Compassion" video highlights why this network is so vital. We aren't just managing chronic conditions; we are "stepping into the gap for our friends who live in poverty" and saving Georgia taxpayers millions by reducing the burden on emergency rooms.

Your support helps us turn compassion into lifesaving treatment. Watch the video to see the impact of your generosity in action! To support our mission directly, visit: www.healingbridgeclinic.org/donate.

Meet Carrie, one of the brilliant minds (and big hearts!) behind our pharmacy services! By day, Carrie is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Residency Program Director at Emory University Hospital. But here at HBC, she’s a dedicated volunteer who helps bridge the gap for those in our community who need it most. “Through volunteering at the HBC, I am able to serve others and reflect the heart of God,” Carrie says. “This aligns with the purpose of the HBC, which is to demonstrate and communicate God’s love to others.”

Off-duty: Carrie lives in Peachtree City with her husband (and fellow volunteer!) Daniel and their golden retriever, Spofford. 🐾

We are so grateful for Carrie’s expertise and her commitment to reflecting God's love through healthcare. Join us in saying "Thank You" in the comments!
