Hi all! AtL Parents, Caretakers, and Teachers! Want to learn more about sensory processing to better understand and support your children (and yourself) while playing in a fun sensory gym?

Our lab has 3 modules for learning through play:

🧪MODULE 1 September 8: The Sensory Systems: visual, auditory, touch/tactile, smell/olfactory, taste/gustatory, movement and balance/vestibular, body position/proprioception, internal sense/interoception

🧪MODULE 2 September 15: Sensory Processing: modulation, discrimination, praxis, vestibular bilateral integration sequencing

🧪MODULE 3 September 22: Common issues that we address: behavior and meltdowns, picky eating, sleep issues, lots of Q&A with Kate.

Module 1

Module 3
Tuesday September 22 7:00-8:30pm
Learn about many common issues that we work with as occupational therapists: behavioral challenges and meltdowns, picky eating, and sleep issues. Get suggestions to support your child, ample Q&A with Kate. Play experiences and hands on practices!

In the first module of the Parent Sensory Lab on September 8, we will explore the 8 senses that OTs address.

The first five are familiar to most: visual, auditory, touch, taste and smell.

The next 3 are less recognized: body position/proprioception, movement and balance/vestibular, and the internal sense/interoception.

Learn about these senses, and why they are important. In a really really cool sensory gym. While playing. Adults only for this one!

This course has 3 modules, each 90 minutes.
